About
Laliko Kharabadze is a senior clinical embryologist at IN VITRO CLINIC (LeaderMed) in Tbilisi. She holds a BSc in Medicine from Tbilisi State Medical University and an MSc in Genetics, and is currently a PhD fellow — a combined clinical and genetics background that is uncommon among embryologists.
She completed specialized embryology training at renowned reproductive centers in France, Israel, Ukraine and Spain, giving her direct experience with several of Europe’s mainstream laboratory protocols and quality cultures.
In the laboratory she handles the operations that determine what reaches the transfer catheter: egg processing, fertilization, embryo culture and selection, biopsy for genetic testing, and vitrification.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF laboratory operations: full-cycle hands-on work from oocyte handling and insemination through embryo culture, maintaining optimal conditions at every developmental stage
- ICSI: micromanipulation injection of a single sperm into each mature egg for male factor infertility
- PGT-A support: embryo biopsy and sample preparation for preimplantation genetic screening, ensuring DNA quality without compromising embryo viability
- Vitrification: ultra-rapid freezing and warming of eggs and blastocysts for fertility preservation and frozen embryo transfer
Why Choose Laliko Kharabadze
The genetics master’s degree matters practically: patients planning PGT-A benefit when the person performing the biopsy also understands the assay downstream, because sample handling is the step where testing accuracy is won or lost. Her four-country training portfolio means she has worked inside French, Israeli, Ukrainian and Spanish laboratory systems and can adapt quickly to protocol-specific requirements — including complex cases such as poor responders or repeated abnormal embryo development. As a PhD fellow she continues to follow embryology and reproductive genetics research, feeding new evidence back into daily laboratory practice at LeaderMed.
Certifications
Kharabadze holds a BSc in Medicine from Tbilisi State Medical University and an MSc in Genetics, and is a PhD fellow. She completed advanced clinical embryology training at reproductive centers in France, Israel, Ukraine and Spain.
Suitable For
- Patients planning PGT-A genetic screening: her genetics background secures accurate biopsy and sample handling for aneuploidy testing.
- Embryo quality assessment and selection: for patients who need the best-developing embryos identified, her culture and grading expertise supports confident selection.
- Patients with repeated IVF failure or poor embryo development: when earlier cycles underperformed, her multi-country laboratory experience offers additional technical options — from culture conditions to vitrification strategy — for a fresh evaluation of the embryology step.
