Shady Grove Fertility - Pennsylvania

Dr. Schumacher was fantastic! She is very empathetic and explains the process clearly. The staff is great and the facility/location is convenient.

This is not my usual SGF clinic but I had alot of problems for this visit. I was there on a Sunday. Mothers day in fact. I has swiftly checked in, and was running alittle but late but them know greater than 30 minutes out that I was running late since it was an hour drive for me. 1. She had checked me in under the wrong name. I gave my first name as I usually do at my usual clinic. She didn't ask me for my birthday or last name or anything. I detect a bit of a tone and she immediately let's me know that I incorrectly checked in, though I explained my process very thoroughly and have never had an issues checking online in prior to my visits before. I even was going to show her the completed check in with the thank you but she was uninterested in seeing it and told me that had done it improperly. One minute later she asks me to come to the desk because I have 50 dollar charge from 2025 I have not taken care of which shocked me but I was happy to pay. Right before I handed my card I was called to the back ( mind you the person she checked me in under has a very similar name but with a different spelling and first letter- and my name is very very difficult to pronounce 95% of people get it wrong so if it sounds close I will assume it's me). I get my blood taken and THIS WAS THE MOST PAINFUL BLOOD DRAW IVE HAD IN MY MY LIFE. I am used to getting my blood drawn but this was 10x more painful than any time I have every experience. Additionally, before she pokes me she asks me for my full name and DOB which I provide. She then takes my blood OUCH, and asks me to verify again my name on the sticker which is a totally different person. Im suprised I had gotten this far through check in and giving my full name and DOB and they just now they realize something is wrong. It all got fixed, but dang was this whole experience was a mess, esp considering I was almost charged for someone else bill! I will say my US tech was very sweet, and explained everything to me and that was the only acceptable part of the visit. The front desk did apologize but golly, you really need to verify people, or the phlebotomists should actually listening to the info provided when asking for my full name and DOB. If this wasn't medical it wouldnt be a big deal, mistakes happen but these types of things shouldn't happen! The place is well kept and clean so I had no complaints there, but i did not enjoy my interaction with most of the staff. This makes me really love and treasure my location at the bethlehem office.

Dr Sasson is to most kind and smart person I met. Thanks to him SGF and staff I am now a mother of a beautiful baby girl. Thanks to Dr. Sasson and SGF I am the happiest person in the world. The clinic is clean, well equipped and staff well trained. I recommend SGF to everyone who is in need. I would rate 10/10.

If I could give Shady Grove negative stars I would. I first went to them in 2024 to be worked up for infertility. My first ultrasound revealed a massive 10cm endometrioma. The presence of endometriomas place you at minimum a stage III endometriosis. I was not told the severity of my disease and it was not explained to me that I even had endometriosis - I had to specifically ask. I was offered an IUI as I wanted to pursue other measures prior to IVF. My doctor specifically told me “I have no reason to think this won’t work.” Then likelihood of an IUI working in stage III endo is 3% chance. This was also not conveyed to me. It was also not conveyed to me that the medications used for an IUI would very likely make my endo worse. After my failed IUI my pain went from being bearable to me almost being disabled and unable to work. When I brought up concerns that I was not informed prior to my IUI of medication risks, I was essentially gaslit by staff. I am also still being billed for procedures from 2024 and today Shady Grove took $500 out of my bank account without my consent. Specifically on a weekend so their office and my insurance office is closed and I am unable to speak to anyone. Ultimately Shady Grove does not care about getting YOU healthier or restoring your fertility. They are willing to to destroy your body and your finances in the process of getting you a baby, that may not even be successful. I had surgery with a NaPro certified surgeon, Dr Milburn, and he said I was the worse case he had seen in over a year. It took him 8 hours to repair my body. Meanwhile, Shady Grove was content with putting me through a high risk pregnancy in that state. They didn’t even tell me it would have been high risk. There is little to no shared decision making, little explanation of success rates with procedures and no explanation of med side effects. Please take your hard earned money and see a NaPro physician who will restore your health so you can not only carry a healthy child to term but be well enough to care for them after birth. Women deserve better care than this. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.

It is very interesting how my doctor didn't immediately prescribe me metformin for my PCOS. After moving to RMA in NJ I was immediately prescribed metformin and got pregnant unassisted. It should always be the first line of treatment…...

We found our way to Dr. Sasson and Shady Grove Fertility after an incredibly devastating experience—losing our frozen eggs during a thaw at Main Line Fertility (a place I would strongly caution others to avoid). At the time, we were working with Dr. Maureen Kelly, and the difference in care and experience between her practice and SGF was truly night and day. From the moment Dr. Sasson stepped in, he was honest, compassionate, and steady—exactly what we needed after such a heartbreaking loss. He helped us regroup, reset, and believe again that becoming parents was still possible. While our journey wasn’t without challenges, I honestly can’t imagine going through it with any other team. Every single person at SGF Chesterbrook was kind, supportive, thorough, and genuinely invested in our success. There was a point when we truly didn’t know if parenthood was in our future—and now, thanks to this incredible practice, we are the proud parents of not one but two beautiful girls. I only wish we had found Dr. Sasson and his team sooner, but I am endlessly grateful that we did. They are hands down the best in the area, and we will forever be thankful for everything they did for our family.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Schumacher, and Nurse Chelsea. I was with a previous clinic where I felt like a number and was getting passed around and not established with any doctors. At Shady Grove, you are seen and the nurses are incredible. They answer messages so timely and are so supportive when going through a really tough time. We had 7 failed IUI's at our previous clinic, so we new it was time to move on. After 2 egg retrievals and 4 transfers, we now have our beautiful two month old baby boy thanks to Dr. Schumacher not giving up on us. She truly took the time to figure out the best course of action. When we were down, the staff at Shady Grove truly lifted us up. Our lives are forever changed in the best way thanks to SGF. Don't give up hope, even when the journey feels long and hard at times! Shout-out to the front desk staff for remembering who I was and being so supportive!!

I could not be happier with SGF as my fertility miracle-worker. I am a success story, and have never been happier in my life than being the mother of my son, and it's only because of SGF that I was able to achieve that. I'm currently back…...
