About

About

Ashley Wiltshire took a road to Manhattan fertility practice that runs through the South. She earned her MD at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, and finished her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship split between the University of Alabama at Birmingham and NYU’s Grossman School of Medicine. She is now an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Fertility Center.

Her stated research interests pair the clinical with the structural: improving IVF outcomes and fertility preservation, and examining the health disparities and access questions that decide which patients reach that treatment in the first place. In practice she manages the common conditions behind female infertility — PCOS, endometriosis and uterine fibroids — alongside core ART.

Clinical Expertise

  • IVF: Cycle management from stimulation through retrieval, fertilization and transfer
  • Egg Freezing and Fertility Preservation: Vitrification for planned delay or before medical treatment
  • Third-Party Reproduction: Donor egg and gestational-carrier paths within Columbia’s program
  • PCOS, Endometriosis and Fibroids: Treatment of the underlying conditions that drive many infertility cases
  • Reproductive Health Equity: Research focus on access disparities in fertility care

Why Choose Dr. Wiltshire

A broad ART foundation with an equity lens. Her research pairs improving IVF and preservation outcomes with studying who does not get access to them — a perspective that shows up in how counseling is handled.

Fellowship-trained at two strong programs. Her REI fellowship ran across UAB and NYU Grossman, and she practices inside Columbia’s academic ART system with in-house laboratory and genetic testing.

Manages the common diagnoses. PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids account for a large share of infertility; they are named areas of her clinical work.
