About Dr. Zsolt Nagy

Dr. Zsolt Nagy is the Scientific and Laboratory Director of Reproductive Biology Associates (RBA), which he joined in August 2002. Born in Hungary, he graduated summa cum laude from Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest (1986) and earned a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences (1991), hospital management degree (1993) and Ph.D. (1998) from the Free University of Brussels (VUB).

Dr. Nagy’s career in assisted reproduction began in 1989 as a research scientist at VUB’s Department of Reproductive Medicine — he was a core member of the team that first developed intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), now used worldwide. Before joining RBA, he served as Scientific Director in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and at the European Hospital in Rome (1997-2001).
