About
Dr. Kuang-Han Chao is Director of the Banqiao campus of Maosheng Fertility Center (Lee Women’s Hospital) in New Taipei City. He earned his MD from the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, then completed the full training ladder at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) — residency, chief residency, reproductive endocrinology fellowship, attending physician — before serving as clinical assistant professor at NTU College of Medicine and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NTUH Yunlin Branch.
When Maosheng opened its Banqiao campus in 2024, Dr. Chao was appointed director, bringing NTU-system clinical standards to the hospital’s Greater Taipei fertility team so patients in northern Taiwan no longer need to travel to Taichung for the same laboratory platform.
His clinical focus spans IVF, IUI, reproductive endocrinology, immunologic infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss, gynecologic oncology and endometriosis. He serves as Secretary-General of the Taiwan Society of Reproductive Medicine and is a Ministry of Health and Welfare / National Health Administration certified artificial-reproduction practitioner.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF full-cycle management: stimulation protocols, retrieval, transfer and luteal support, combining NTU reproductive endocrinology training with Maosheng’s CAP-accredited lab
- Immunologic infertility and recurrent loss: dedicated clinic experience with repeated implantation failure and immune-related miscarriage work-ups
- Endometriosis and menstrual disorders: surgical and fertility-treatment sequencing for endometriosis-associated infertility
- Gynecologic oncology perspective: fertility-preserving decision-making when fibroids, cysts or tumors coexist with infertility
Why Choose Dr. Kuang-Han Chao
Complete NTU-system pedigree. Every step of Taiwan’s most demanding OB-GYN training pathway — NTUH resident, chief resident, RE fellow, attending, assistant professor, branch department chair — gives his clinical judgment a university-hostel standard of rigor.
Depth in immune infertility. Repeated implantation failure and immune miscarriage are among the hardest problems in IVF; Dr. Chao runs a focused clinic in this area and can pair systematic immune work-ups with Maosheng’s in-house genetics lab.
Teaching-and-clinics double recognition. Named a national Outstanding OB-GYN Physician by Baby & Mother Magazine in 2008, then winning NTUH’s first Teaching Contribution Award (2019) and the department’s Outstanding Attending Physician Award (2023, best VS), he is recognized as much for explaining plans clearly as for treating them well.
Campus leadership. As director of the Banqiao campus that opened in 2024, he oversees day-to-day care standards at Maosheng’s newest facility.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Chao is Secretary-General of the Taiwan Society of Reproductive Medicine, a supervisor of the Taiwan Endometriosis Association, and a certified trainer with the Taiwan Medical Education Association. He completed reproductive technology training at the National University of Singapore and is an NHIA-certified artificial reproduction practitioner.
