About
Dr. Chia-Chien Chou is an attending physician in the Reproductive Medicine Department at Maosheng Fertility Center (Lee Women’s Hospital) in Taichung. He graduated from the College of Medicine at Chang Gung University, completed chief residency in the Department of Obstetrics at National Taiwan University Hospital — the top tier of OB-GYN training in Taiwan — and then subspecialized as a fellow at the NTUH Reproductive Medicine Center before serving as an attending physician at Tai An Hospital and a private OB-GYN clinic.
In 2015 his research won the IS Good Poster Award at the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, early recognition on one of Asia’s leading academic stages in the field.
He now covers general gynecologic and obstetric surgery, hysteroscopic polypectomy, IUI, IVF and egg freezing — the combination of scope surgery and assisted reproduction that makes him the “surgery plus fertility” link in Maosheng’s reproductive team.
Clinical Expertise
- Diagnostic hysteroscopy and polypectomy: optimizing the uterine cavity before transfer — precise removal of polyps and adhesions that silently cause implantation failure
- IVF cycle management: standardized stimulation-to-transfer workflows from NTU Reproductive Center fellowship training
- IUI: complete cycle management for mild-factor infertility
- Egg freezing: individualized fertility-preservation counseling and protocols
Why Choose Dr. Chia-Chien Chou
NTUH chief resident plus reproductive fellowship. Chief residency at National Taiwan University Hospital means exhaustive hands-on case volume, and the NTU Reproductive Medicine Center fellowship added dedicated fertility subspecialty training — strong fundamentals plus a specialty focus.
Internationally recognized research early in his career. A poster award at the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015 shows academic ability acknowledged by one of Asia’s most established OB-GYN societies.
A specialist in cavity preparation. Endometrial polyps are a hidden, common driver of failed transfers; Dr. Chou’s hysteroscopic polypectomy skills target exactly the pre-transfer optimization step where those failures get fixed.
