About
Amanda Hurliman spent years as medical director at ORM Fertility in Portland before moving to Seattle in 2024 to take the same role at Pinnacle Fertility Seattle. Directing two regional practices means she signs off on protocols, oversees the lab-clinic interface, and sets the standard of care other physicians follow — not only the patients she sees herself. She earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Her clinical focus is the hard-to-crack end of IVF: PCOS, unexplained infertility, and patients who have failed cycles at other centers. She works heavily with PGT embryo testing to select which embryo to transfer, and the practice credits her with the multidisciplinary planning that complex cases require. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG); the sources record her training and faculty roles rather than a specific board-certification date.
Recognition follows the work. She was Portland Top Doctor for nine straight years (2015-2023), a Castle Connolly Top Doctor from 2024, SeattleMet Top Doctor 2025, and in 2025 was named Pinnacle Fertility’s Physician of the Year — the company’s top clinical honor. Her research has drawn an ASRM/SREI National Research Service Award.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF with PGT: embryo genetic testing used to guide single embryo selection and transfer
- PCOS: ovulation and stimulation strategies tuned to a high-response, hormonally complex population
- Unexplained and complex infertility: workups and protocols for patients without an obvious diagnosis or with prior failed cycles
- Program leadership: as medical director she sets treatment standards and coordinates the lab-clinic path for the practice
Why Choose Dr. Hurliman
A physician who directs care, not just prescribes it. She has held the medical director seat at two regional practices, so the protocols and lab coordination you encounter here are ones she wrote and reviews.
Awarded on both sides of the Cascades. Nine years as Portland Top Doctor, then SeattleMet Top Doctor 2025 and Pinnacle Physician of the Year 2025 — recognition earned in the two markets she has practiced.
Drawn to difficult cases. Her stated focus is PCOS, unexplained infertility, and patients who have not succeeded elsewhere, with PGT used as a decision tool rather than a default.
