About
Anate Brauer’s patients arrive at egg freezing for a reason that has nothing to do with timing. Her advisory role with the Young Survivors Coalition — an organization for people whose fertility was put at risk by cancer treatment in childhood or young adulthood — is the part of her profile that explains why fertility preservation is her first listed service rather than one of several. She has published and presented nationally on preserving fertility in young patients, on diminished ovarian reserve and PCOS, and on treatment for patients using a gestational surrogate.
She trained inside the Cornell system end to end: medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, OB/GYN residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and a reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2005. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, joined RMA of New York in 2020, and came from an assistant clinical professorship at NYU School of Medicine.
She sees patients in English and Hebrew, which matters for the Israeli and Jewish-community families who seek her out specifically.
Clinical Expertise
- Egg and embryo freezing: her named focus, including preservation before gonadotoxic cancer treatment
- IVF with individualized stimulation: published work on optimizing outcomes for diminished ovarian reserve and PCOS
- Preimplantation genetic testing: offered within her third-party and preservation cases
- Third-party reproduction: donor egg, donor sperm, donor embryo and gestational carrier cycles, a group she has written about specifically
- Diminished ovarian reserve and PCOS: the two diagnoses her presentations keep returning to
