About
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonsri Chanrachakul, MD, PhD, MSc (Medical Genetics), is a senior obstetrician and maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital (BDMS group). He graduated in medicine from Chulalongkorn University (1989), earned his PhD at the University of Nottingham’s Centre for Reproductive and Early Life researching preterm birth (2006), was certified by the Thai Sub-Board of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University (2010), and completed a Master of Science in Medical Genetics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2018).
With more than 39 years of experience caring for pregnant women and involvement in 150–180 surgeries per year, his clinical focus is high-risk pregnancy, preeclampsia, and preterm birth — where his “3P concept” method for preventing premature birth in high-risk pregnancies is a recognized contribution. His research papers have been published in international journals, and he mentors medical students and residents in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
He has lectured more than 46 times over 23 years, including at the 1st World Congress on Maternal Fetal Neonatal Medicine (London), the 8th annual conference of the Thai Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and the 10th National Congress in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
