About
Dr. Chalomkwan Prayoonwech is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist at BNH Hospital’s Reproductive Health Center and Women’s Health Centre in Bangkok. She holds a medical degree from Chulalongkorn University, completed her OB-GYN residency and reproductive medicine sub-specialty training there, and further trained in the United States as a clinical observer in male infertility and in vitro fertilization at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
With 24 years of clinical experience in infertility, Dr. Chalomkwan manages complex cases affecting both partners — from hormonal and uterine factors to severe male factor infertility. Her scope runs the full treatment ladder: baseline reproductive endocrine evaluation, IUI, IVF-ICSI, and surgical sperm retrieval procedures (PESA, TESE, Micro-TESE), complemented by gynaecologic endoscopy skills in hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.
Clinical Expertise
- Reproductive endocrinology: ovulation disorders, PCOS, diminished ovarian reserve and hormonal work-up for infertility
- Assisted reproduction: IUI, IVF and ICSI cycle planning and management
- Male infertility assessment and surgical sperm retrieval (PESA, TESE, Micro-TESE) for severe oligozoospermia or azoospermia
- Recurrent miscarriage and repeated implantation failure: endocrine, uterine and embryo-factor investigation
- Gynaecologic endoscopy: diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy integrated into fertility treatment
Why Choose Dr. Chalomkwan Prayoonwech
Dr. Chalomkwan’s fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) centered on male infertility and IVF laboratory practice — experience she brings back to couple-based treatment at BNH, giving male-factor patients access to internationally informed protocols including surgical sperm retrieval. Her 24 years in reproductive endocrinology and infertility cover a very large volume of complex cases, and her combined endoscopy and ART skill set means uterine cavity problems can be diagnosed and treated without referring the patient elsewhere.
