About
Dr. Patrick Chan Sai Lock is the team member who takes on endometriosis and fertility head-on — he produces patient-education material explaining how the condition affects the chances of conceiving and what can be done about it. He read medicine at the University of Melbourne and went on to fellowships of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, with Royal College (UK) membership.
At Prolivfic A.R.T Centre he practises reproductive medicine, moving couples from diagnosis into a treatment plan that fits the reason they have not conceived.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF and embryo transfer: Runs stimulation, retrieval and transfer as a single individualised cycle plan.
- Endometriosis-related infertility: Assesses how endometriosis affects ovarian reserve, the tubes and implantation, and chooses the right assisted-reproduction route.
- General infertility care: Works up ovulatory, tubal and unexplained infertility to decide between IUI and IVF.
Why Choose Dr. Chan
Endometriosis is one of the commonest reasons couples struggle to conceive, and Dr. Chan has made it an area of explicit patient teaching rather than leaving it buried in jargon — useful when a couple is trying to understand why natural conception has not happened.
He combines Australian medical training (Melbourne) with UK and Hong Kong college credentials, and consults in Cantonese and English, so local and overseas patients hear the same plan directly from him.
Professional Affiliations
He holds an MBBS from the University of Melbourne, is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, UK), a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FHKCOG), and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FHKAM).
Suitable For
- Endometriosis and infertility: He gauges the condition’s impact on fertility and plans the treatment around it.
- Couples planning IVF: Stimulation and transfer are built to her age and ovarian reserve and followed through.
- Multi-language patients: Cantonese and English let him brief local and cross-border families without an interpreter.
