About

About Prolivfic A.R.T Centre

Prolivfic A.R.T Centre is a dedicated assisted reproduction clinic on the 16th floor of Tower II, New World Tower in Central, on Hong Kong Island. It is licensed to carry out regulated fertility treatment under a treatment licence (T4002) issued by Hong Kong’s Council on Human Reproductive Technology (CHRT) under the Human Reproductive Technology Ordinance (Cap. 561). The centre describes its remit plainly: to help couples who cannot conceive naturally, in a calm and unhurried setting, with a single team managing the whole pathway rather than splitting care between separate providers.

Everything from ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval through fertilisation, embryo culture and freezing happens around an in-house embryo laboratory — the centre publishes photographs of its own lab, operating theatres and consultation rooms rather than relying on an external facility. The clinic runs in Chinese (Traditional) and English and keeps WeChat, WhatsApp and Facebook channels open for mainland Chinese and international patients.

Like other private Hong Kong centres, Prolivfic does not publish clinic-level success rates or a price list. Hong Kong has no mandatory per-clinic success-rate reporting, so outcomes depend on individual circumstances and are discussed at the first consultation.

Accreditations & Awards

  • Holds a CHRT treatment licence (T4002) under the Human Reproductive Technology Ordinance (Cap. 561), verifiable on the Council’s published register of licensed centres.
  • States it is the first centre in Hong Kong to perform IMSI — selecting sperm for injection under 6300× magnification with a digitally enhanced inverted microscope.
  • The register entry lists the centre as approved for a wide set of regulated procedures, including IVF, ICSI, gamete and embryo freezing and preimplantation genetic testing.
  • The clinical team pairs four reproductive-medicine specialists — several holding fellowships of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine — with a master’s-trained chief embryologist who directs the laboratory.

Why Choose Prolivfic A.R.T Centre

  • 6300× IMSI sperm selection. For severe male-factor infertility, poor sperm morphology, high DNA fragmentation or repeated implantation failure, embryologists screen sperm at 6300× — well beyond the 400× used in standard ICSI — before injecting a single sperm into each egg.
  • In-house embryo laboratory. Retrieval, fertilisation, culture and vitrification are handled on site, so the lab and the clinic work to one protocol instead of outsourcing the embryology.
  • Licensed, regulated treatment. Operating under a CHRT treatment licence places every procedure within Hong Kong’s statutory framework, with clear rules on gamete and embryo handling.
  • Built for cross-border patients. Chinese-English bilingual service and WeChat/WhatsApp/Facebook contact make it practical for mainland and overseas couples to arrange and follow a cycle in Hong Kong.
  • Central address. New World Tower sits minutes from the MTR on Hong Kong Island, convenient for short-stay visitors.

IVF & Fertility Services

  • IUI (intrauterine insemination): washed, motile sperm placed into the uterus around ovulation — used for unexplained infertility, mild male-factor or cervical issues, with at least one open tube required.
  • IVF and embryo transfer: eggs retrieved and fertilised in the lab, then cultured to day-3 cleavage or day-5/6 blastocyst before transfer.
  • ICSI: a single normally shaped, forward-moving sperm injected into each egg under 400× magnification — the standard approach for male-factor infertility.
  • IMSI: sperm selected at 6300× magnification for head, acrosome and neck-tail normality before injection, offered for poor sperm quality, high DNA fragmentation or repeated failure.
  • Frozen embryo transfer (FET): surplus embryos vitrified at −196°C and transferred in a later cycle; a freeze-all approach can lower the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation (OHSS).
  • IVM (in vitro maturation): immature eggs matured in the lab and then fertilised by ICSI — an option for polycystic ovary (PCOS) patients to reduce OHSS risk.
  • Egg and sperm freezing: fertility preservation before cancer treatment, or elective egg freezing by vitrification; surgical sperm retrieval is available for azoospermia.

Patient Journey

  1. Enquiry and booking — through the website contact form, phone/WhatsApp, or a dedicated appointment to speak with the centre’s senior embryologist.
  2. First assessment — a reproductive-medicine specialist reviews both partners and arranges fertility tests and diagnosis.
  3. Treatment plan — stimulation and fertilisation choices (IVF, ICSI or IMSI) are set by age, ovarian reserve and the diagnosis.
  4. Cycle — monitoring scans, trigger, and egg retrieval, followed by laboratory fertilisation and culture to cleavage or blastocyst stage.
  5. Transfer or freezing — a fresh transfer, or embryos vitrified for a later frozen embryo transfer.
  6. Pregnancy test and follow-up — a blood test about two weeks after transfer, then ongoing care.

Appointments are required, and the clinic is on Hong Kong Island in Central.

Assisted reproduction in Hong Kong is governed by the Human Reproductive Technology Ordinance (Cap. 561), with the Council on Human Reproductive Technology (CHRT) as the statutory regulator. Only centres holding a treatment licence may provide reproductive technology services, and clinical responsibility must sit with a recognised specialist. Prolivfic’s licence is registered as T4002, and its approved procedures are listed on the CHRT register.

The ordinance places firm limits on what can be offered:

  • Sex selection is not permitted without a clear medical indication.
  • Donation and commercialisation of eggs, sperm and embryos are tightly controlled; commercial surrogacy is not available in Hong Kong.
  • Storage of gametes and embryos is regulated under the ordinance, with consent and eligibility rules set by the CHRT code of practice.

Patients travelling to Hong Kong for treatment should confirm in advance which specific services — particularly donor-egg or genetic-testing cycles — are legally available locally, and plan within the licensed procedures the centre is approved to provide.
