About
Dr. Chatchai Treetampinich (Chatchai) is Joint Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Legend Fertility Center (LRC) in Bangkok and Associate Professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University — the academic heart of Thai reproductive medicine.
His career maps the history of IVF in Thailand. A Siriraj Hospital medical graduate and OB-GYN specialist, he worked as a reproductive medicine researcher at Australia’s Monash Institute (1999) and trained in embryology laboratory management at the Berlin Fertility Center (2002), before joining the 2002 clinical research program at Thailand’s Embryo and Stem Technology Center. He has taught reproductive medicine at Far Eastern University (2000-2008) and continues clinical teaching at Ramathibodi, training generations of Thai fertility specialists since 1995.
He is recognized as one of the country’s foremost advocates of advanced blastocyst culture and embryo genetic screening — the techniques behind LRC’s blastocyst-culture heritage.
Clinical Expertise
- Assisted reproductive technology (ART): IVF, advanced blastocyst culture, PGT, and fertility laboratory optimization
- Gynaecoscopic surgery: laparoscopic and hysteroscopic treatment of uterine and tubal-factor infertility
- Microsurgery: tubal reanastomosis for patients seeking natural conception after sterilization or tubal damage
- Reproductive endocrinology and infertility: combined female and male infertility management
Why Choose Dr. Chatchai Treetampinich
Dr. Chatchai is often described as a “godfather” figure of Thai reproductive medicine: over three decades of practice, a WHO Collaborating Programme research post (1996-1998), and international training at Monash and Berlin place his standards on par with the world’s leading centers. His committee roles — training boards at the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the executive committee of the Thai Society of Reproductive Medicine — mean he helps set the protocols his own patients receive. For lab-intensive cases such as poor blastulation or repeated thawing failures, his embryology background is a direct advantage.
