About
Dr. Chi-Fai Chan built Gratia Medical Centre from the ground up. Since founding the clinic in 2007, she has been the doctor responsible for its reproductive medicine and assisted conception work, overseeing the full path from a couple’s first fertility assessment through to embryo transfer. Within the clinic she carries clinical responsibility for the regulated reproductive technology procedures offered to patients.
What sets her apart from most fertility specialists is her academic training in genetics as well as medicine. She earned her medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Hong Kong and then completed a Master of Science in Medical Genetics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. That combination lets her handle preimplantation genetic testing and inherited-risk counselling as part of a single fertility plan, rather than referring the genetic side elsewhere.
Alongside her clinical work, she holds an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Hong Kong, keeping her connected to teaching and current clinical evidence.
