About
Dr. Magendra A/L Ramalingam is a senior fertility consultant at Metro IVF, practising simultaneously at Klinik Pakar Wanita Metro Bukit Tinggi 2 and the group’s Klang headquarters. He earned his MBBS from Mangalore University, India in 1991, completed a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University Malaya in 2001, and finished his Fellowship Training in Reproductive Medicine under the Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2015.
He led the establishment and oversight of the fertility unit at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang, and in 2008 played a pivotal role in launching the IVF Shared Care programme — a collaboration between HTAR and private institutions including Metro IVF. The programme delivered its first set of IVF twins in its very first year.
As a council member of the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM) and a member of the National ART Committee, Dr. Magendra helped draft Malaysia’s National Assisted Reproductive Technology Policy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

Why Choose Dr. Magendra Ramalingam
As a member of the National ART Committee, Dr. Magendra took part in drafting Malaysia’s assisted reproduction policy, giving him an unusually deep command of the country’s regulatory framework and clinical best practice — so patients can be confident their treatment meets national standards. His 2008 IVF Shared Care programme with Metro IVF opened high-quality IVF to patients on tighter budgets, and its first-year twin birth drew national media attention. Having built and run a fertility centre inside a government hospital (HTAR) while practising in the private sector, he can match patients of different backgrounds and budgets to the right pathway. His OGSM council role keeps him at the centre of specialty standards and academic exchange.
