About
Every weekday of Yume Clinic’s operating week now has a named surgeon, and Friday is Dr. Misaki Momose’s day: retrieval and transfer both fall to her, in the same visit block as her Friday morning clinic. She joined the clinic in 2024 as a visiting physician, the most recent addition to a roster that was reorganised in September 2025 to spread retrieval and transfer work across fixed days for each doctor.
Her training ran through a university hospital rather than a fertility boutique. She took her MD at Tokai University School of Medicine in 2013 and joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tokai University Hospital in 2015, where clinical training covers labour and delivery, gynaecological surgery and reproductive endocrine outpatient work. She became a board-certified obstetrician and gynaecologist in 2019. The same department also produced Dr. Mari Shinoda, a Yume Clinic attending physician since 2019, so the clinic’s Friday and Tuesday surgical days are both staffed from that training line.
She works on a part-time basis. That is worth understanding before booking: her surgical and clinic days are concentrated on Friday, so cycles that need her hands are timed to that day.
Clinical Expertise
- Egg retrieval — performs Friday retrievals, timing the trigger from follicle scans and hormone readings and handing eggs to the in-house laboratory for assessment.
- Embryo transfer — runs the clinic’s Friday transfer list, matching the procedure to endometrial status and embryo development stage.
- Reproductive endocrine clinic work — cycle monitoring, medication adjustment and result explanation in the Friday morning session.
- General obstetrics and gynaecology — board-certified assessment of coexisting gynaecological problems encountered during a fertility cycle, and referral where a case needs it.
Why Choose Dr. Momose
University-hospital gynaecology behind a fertility procedure. Egg retrieval looks routine, but ovarian position, endometriosis, adhesions from earlier surgery and follicle number change its difficulty. Her training at Tokai University Hospital spanned obstetrics and gynaecological surgery, which is the background that decides how an awkward ovary is handled.
One physician for the whole Friday visit. Retrieval, transfer and clinic consultation sit on the same day with the same doctor. For a patient taking leave from work, monitoring and procedure in one appointment under one physician removes both the extra trip and the handover where the surgeon has not read the scan herself.
She fills a scheduling gap, not a specialty gap. The clinic spread surgical duties across doctors precisely so that a cycle’s timing window is never missed because one surgeon’s day does not align. Her Friday slot means a patient whose stimulation is tracking late in the week can still be retrieved on schedule rather than waiting several more days.

Suitable For
- Cycles timed for a Friday retrieval or transfer. Her operating day is fixed, so trigger and monitoring can be planned backwards from it instead of being re-timed around a shifting roster.
- Patients who want a board-certified OB/GYN doing the procedure. All five physicians on this clinic’s staff list hold that certification; she is the Friday surgeon.
- Friday morning monitoring and medication review. Follicle counts, endometrial thickness and hormone values can be explained by the physician who will perform the procedure.
- Follow-up inside an already-set protocol. As a part-time physician she attends on scheduled days, which suits patients whose treatment direction is fixed and who need the cycle carried through and reviewed.
