About

About

Dr. Navdeep Singh Pannu is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and fertility specialist at Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists, having joined the group in 2025. He holds an MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India (1998), a Master of Medicine in O&G from the University of Malaya (2009), MRCOG (2010) and the elevated Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG, 2023).

Before Alpha IVF he spent 14 years as Medical Director and Consultant O&G at TMC Fertility & Women’s Specialist Centre, where he ran clinical operations across four Malaysian branches — Puchong, Penang, Ipoh and Johor Bahru. That role combined hands-on ART practice with multi-site quality governance and complex-case multidisciplinary review.

He has been deeply involved in Malaysia’s reproductive medicine profession as Past President of the Malaysian Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (MSART) and as the Malaysian representative to ASPIRE (Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction), including its Special Interest Group on Education — giving him a working knowledge of standards and outcomes across the region’s clinics.

Clinical Expertise

  • IVF and ICSI full-cycle management: over 25 years in the specialty, with particular strength in designing individualised protocols for difficult or complex cycles, from stimulation choice through trigger timing to transfer strategy
  • Advanced maternal age and ovarian reserve: integrated assessment of reserve, embryo chromosome risk and uterine receptivity for patients aged 38+, often incorporating PGT-A screening into the plan
  • Recurrent IVF failure workup: systematic re-evaluation of immune factors, endometrial receptivity and embryo-derived causes to build a differentiated strategy for the next cycle
  • Minimally invasive surgery interface: with his F.MAS/D.MAS laparoscopic training, he evaluates and coordinates surgical management of hydrosalpinx, endometriosis and fibroids that would otherwise compromise IVF outcomes
  • Male factor infertility: assessment of severe oligo-/asthenozoospermia and azoospermia, with ICSI or surgical sperm retrieval pathways arranged in-house

Why Choose Dr. Navdeep

FRCOG is the highest membership grade of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, conferred on senior specialists with significant contributions to the field; Dr. Navdeep’s 2023 elevation caps more than two decades of documented reproductive practice. His 14 years as a fertility centre Medical Director mean he has judged protocols and outcomes at an institutional level, not only an individual-patient one.

His MSART presidency and ASPIRE representation placed him inside Malaysian ART standard-setting and regional quality discussion — a vantage point that informs honest, comparative advice about what a given treatment path should achieve. Finally, his training chain — Homerton (UK) reproductive medicine certificate, National University Hospital Singapore ART course, World Laparoscopy Hospital India surgical fellowship — keeps his techniques aligned with multiple international systems rather than a single school of practice.

Certifications

  • FRCOG, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK (2023); MRCOG (2010)
  • Master of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Malaya (2009)
  • Master Certificate in Reproductive Medicine, Homerton University Hospital, UK (2019)
  • Assisted Reproductive Technique Course for Clinicians, National University Hospital, Singapore (2012)
  • Fellowship & Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery, World Laparoscopy Hospital, India (2011)
  • MBBS, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India (1998)

Suitable For

  • Patients with two or more failed IVF cycles elsewhere: his breadth of comparative clinic experience helps spot the overlooked link in a previous protocol and propose a genuinely different strategy
  • Women aged 38+: combined evaluation of ovarian reserve, aneuploidy risk and endometrial receptivity, with PGT-A-informed planning for time-sensitive conception
  • Infertility complicated by gynaecological disease: hydrosalpinx, endometriosis or fibroids can be sequenced — surgery first or straight to IVF — within one facility, avoiding referral losses
  • International and Indian-heritage patients: his multicultural training and practice in Malaysia make cross-cultural consultation straightforward, and English/Malay consultations are available

Best For

Repeated IVF failure needing cause re-evaluation Women aged 38 and above planning conception Infertility with hydrosalpinx, endometriosis or fibroids International patients, including Indian-heritage and multilingual families
