About Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists
Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists (previously known as Alpha Fertility Centre) was founded in 2011 by Dato’ Dr. Colin Lee Soon Soo, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has been a fertility specialist since 1991. In March 2024 the group listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia (stock code 0303), becoming Malaysia’s first publicly listed fertility specialty group. The centre moved in 2019 into a purpose-built facility of around 2,800 m² at Encorp Strand Mall, Kota Damansara — nearly three times its previous size.
The Alpha IVF team has more than 30 years of combined fertility experience, has treated patients from over 51 countries, and group doctors have delivered more than 20,000 IVF babies (source: official website). The centre holds RTAC accreditation (Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee of the Fertility Society of Australia, RTAC Number 1028) and is a Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) Elite member. Its laboratories cover embryology, andrology, NGS, CGH, PCR, FISH and electrophoresis under one roof, supported by EmbryoScope+ time-lapse culture, Piezo-ICSI, Cryotec vitrification and AI-enhanced embryo selection.
Success Rates (self-reported, 2024 data)
Alpha IVF reports clinical pregnancy rates per embryo transfer under RTAC standards. Its 2024 frozen blastocyst transfer results, by age group and PGT-A status (source: official website, 2024 data; frozen transfers only):
| Age Group | Without PGT-A | With PGT-A |
|---|---|---|
| Under 30 | 70.4% | 70.0% |
| 30-34 | 70.8% | 65.0% |
| 35-37 | 54.7% | 70.3% |
| 38-40 | 58.1% | 66.3% |
| 41-42 | 20.0% | 69.2% |
| 43-44 | No data | 100% |
Clinical pregnancy rate per transfer is not the same as live birth rate; outcomes vary with age, diagnosis, ovarian reserve, sperm quality and embryo quality.
The centre also advertises clinical pregnancy rates of up to 87.5% specifically for transfers of vitrified-warmed, good-graded euploid blastocysts aged under 120 hours after ICSI (source: official website, referencing Lee C.S.S. et al., OGSM Congress 2016). Its Piezo-ICSI programme records a 83.1% fertilisation rate versus 69.6% for conventional ICSI, with an oocyte degeneration rate of 3.2% versus 7.3%, based on data across 81,957 oocytes presented at ASPIRE 2026 and OGSM 2026.

Why Choose Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists
- Public-listed governance: as a Bursa Malaysia-listed company (code 0303), the group operates under disclosure and audit requirements that bring transparency to clinical governance and fees — a meaningful trust signal for international patients
- Standard Piezo-ICSI across all cycles: among the very few centres worldwide to have adopted Piezo-ICSI as its default ICSI technique since 2014, using piezoelectric pulses instead of a sharp needle to open the egg membrane — with published data showing roughly 27% more usable blastocysts than conventional ICSI
- Complete in-house laboratory chain: embryology, andrology, NGS (Ion Torrent), CGH, PCR and FISH laboratories allow PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR and PGT-HLA to be run from a single biopsy without outsourcing samples abroad
- Proven cryobiology: 100.00% post-warmed embryo survival across 13,276+ consecutive embryos (Malaysia Book of Records; source: official website, June 2026) means embryos entrusted for freezing survive intact into later transfers
- AI plus human embryo selection: AI-enhanced embryo grading combined with EmbryoScope+ time-lapse monitoring at no extra charge, plus a “one incubator, one patient” policy that removes fluctuation and mix-up risk
- Multilingual patient support: the team works in English, Mandarin, Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and Tamil, with dedicated international patient coordinators, airport-hotel-clinic transfers and partner hotels within a 2-minute walk
IVF & Fertility Services
- IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation): full-cycle management from ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer, with time-lapse EmbryoScope+ culture for all patients
- ICSI / Piezo-ICSI: piezoelectric sperm injection as the centre’s standard fertilisation technique for male factor infertility and all ICSI indications
- Preimplantation Genetic Testing: PGT-A for chromosome screening, PGT-M for single-gene diseases, PGT-SR for structural rearrangements, and PGT-HLA typing for Saviour Sibling Programmes — all run in-house on an Ion Torrent NGS platform from a single biopsy
- Egg, sperm and embryo freezing: Cryotec vitrification with near-100% post-warmed survival; fertility preservation for age, medical or career reasons
- Egg donation programmes: available for patients needing donor eggs
- AI-Enhanced Embryo Selection: deep-learning implantation-potential scoring on blastocyst images to pick the best embryo, first introduced in Malaysia
- Implantation optimisation: ERA (endometrial receptivity analysis), EMMA (microbiome) and ALICE (chronic endometritis) testing for personalised transfer timing
- Sperm sorting (MicroSort / AFC Sort): X/Y sorting technology, offered in the Asia-Pacific region for selected medical indications
- IVA (In Vitro Activation) and PRP therapies: Southeast Asia’s first IVA pregnancy (2026), plus OVA-PRP and Endo-PRP for diminished ovarian reserve and endometrial preparation
- Gynaecological surgery: laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, 4D ultrasound, and male sperm retrieval (MicroTESE) coordinated with fertility treatment
Fees & Packages
Alpha IVF does not publish a fixed price list. On its “IVF Treatment Cost in Malaysia” page the centre explains that treatment is customised to each patient — stimulation protocol, medication dosage, whether PGT is performed, and egg or sperm source all drive the final cost — so an official quote is issued after the doctor’s assessment. A free cost estimate is available before you travel; confirm the quote in both MYR and USD with the international patient team (MYR 1 is approximately 0.21-0.24 USD; exchange rates fluctuate).
Payment flexibility is a stated priority: the centre offers financial counselling with EPF (KWSP) withdrawal guidance, income tax relief, medical loans, 0% instalment plans and insurance assistance, and accepts credit cards and NFC mobile payment.
Patient Journey
- Submit your inquiry: send your medical records and test reports through the website enquiry channel to receive a free assessment and cost estimate
- First visit preparation: the centre asks couples to arrive at least 2 hours early for registration and pre-consultation assessments, and to bring all existing medical reports
- Joint fertility assessment: both partners are evaluated before you meet the specialist, who then recommends the treatment with the highest chance of success for your clinical picture, lifestyle and budget
- Treatment cycle: ovarian stimulation (typically 8-14 days of injections) → egg retrieval → Piezo-ICSI fertilisation → time-lapse culture in EmbryoScope+ → PGT-A biopsy if planned → Cryotec vitrification or transfer
- International patient stay plan: most consultations are same-day; expect roughly 2-3 visits to the centre over 2-3 weeks, with 1-2 days of stay after egg retrieval and about 2 weeks after embryo transfer (source: official international patient page)
- Logistics support: concierge airport-hotel-clinic transfers, corporate-rate hotels within walking distance, and multilingual coordinators in English, Mandarin, Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and Tamil
- Remote follow-up: pregnancy monitoring continues with remote support after you return home
