About
Paul Lin is the president of SART, the society that sets the reporting standards behind the success-rate tables every US IVF patient is told to read — and he co-founded the Seattle clinic (as Seattle Reproductive Medicine in 2004) whose data is filed under those standards. Holding both seats at once is rare: he also sits on the board of ASRM. The result for a patient is a physician who sees the national data and helps write the rules for how it is collected.
The other half of his practice is surgery. Lin has more than 19 years of reproductive surgical experience and holds minimally invasive and robotic surgery credentials, performing laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures for fibroids, endometriosis and tubal disease — the anatomic problems that often have to be fixed before IVF can work. He trained in medicine at Albany Medical College, completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Washington, and did his reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Louisville, where he later taught.
His recognition is institutional as much as personal: SART president (2024), ASRM board, and Seattle Top Doctor 2011-2013. The sources record his fellowship training and surgical credentials rather than a specific board-certification date.
Clinical Expertise
- Reproductive surgery: operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, including robotic-assisted procedures, for fibroids, endometriosis and uterine anomalies
- Tubal disease: diagnosis and surgical correction, including reversal where appropriate
- IVF and ICSI: full-cycle management for patients whose fertility is also limited by anatomic pathology
- Practice standards: as SART president and an ASRM board member, a direct line into how US ART outcomes are defined and audited
Why Choose Dr. Lin
He helps set the rules his own clinic reports under. As SART president and an ASRM board member, Lin works inside the organizations that define ART reporting — the auditors of the numbers on this page, not just a submitter.
Surgeon and IVF physician in one. Patients whose infertility is structural — fibroids, endometriosis, blocked tubes — can have the operation and the cycle managed by the same physician instead of split across two practices.
A founder with 19-plus years of operative experience. He built this practice and has been operating in it ever since, with minimally invasive and robotic credentials.
