About
Dr. Tee Swi Peng is the founder and Medical Director of Metro IVF Fertility Centre and one of the pioneer fertility specialists in Malaysia, among the country’s first doctors to provide IVF services from 1994. He established Metro IVF Centre in Klang in 1996, and the centre’s first IVF pregnancy was delivered in 2000. The group has since expanded to multiple branches nationwide and was listed on Bursa Malaysia in February 2018.
He graduated MBBS from the University of Malaya in 1982, specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology at Seremban General Hospital, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and the John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford. He was admitted to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) in 1989, later as a Fellow (FRCOG). In 1992 he trained in reproductive medicine locally and at the National University of Singapore, qualifying with a postgraduate Diploma in Reproductive Medicine awarded by Malaysia’s National Population & Family Development Board (LPPKN) in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
With more than 25 years in IVF, Dr. Tee has led Metro IVF and its medical team to internationally recognised success rates and RTAC-accredited embryology laboratories. He is currently a Fertility Consultant and Clinical Assistant Professor, and serves as Past President of the Malaysian Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (MSART).

Why Choose Dr. Tee Swi Peng
Dr. Tee has practised IVF in Malaysia since 1994 — he helped introduce the technology to the country and has witnessed every major shift in assisted reproduction since. Founding and leading Metro IVF from a single Klang clinic to Malaysia’s largest IVF network means patients benefit from an organisation built around laboratory quality: the group’s centres hold RTAC accreditation and publish internationally comparable success rates. As Past President of MSART, he contributed to the professional standards governing Malaysian fertility practice. His 2008 IVF Shared Care collaborations with HTAR and UiTM brought specialist-supervised IVF to public-hospital patients at reduced cost — an innovation that shaped how Malaysian couples access treatment. Three decades of cases also give him depth with difficult presentations, including advanced maternal age and repeated implantation failure.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Tee is Past President of the Malaysian Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (MSART) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG, UK). He holds a Clinical Assistant Professorship and leads a nationwide group of RTAC-accredited fertility centres.

- Patients seeking internationally accredited fertility care: Metro IVF’s RTAC accreditation guarantees laboratory and clinical standards benchmarked against Australian and international criteria.
