About
Dr. Tia Jackson-Bey holds two degrees that rarely sit on the same résumé: a medical fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and a Master of Public Health. That combination shapes how she practices—she treats the uncertainty of fertility care as much an information problem as a technical one, and believes that explaining the reasoning behind an IVF protocol is itself part of good treatment.
She earned her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed OB-GYN residency at Duke University Medical Center, and finished her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She added the MPH from New York Medical College’s School of Health Behavior and Practice, which gave her a population-level lens on reproductive access.
Jackson-Bey is an active patient educator and advocate. She uses Instagram to make IVF and reproductive health understandable to a general audience, and has contributed to discussions on CNN, Fox News, InStyle, and Cosmopolitan.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF and reproductive endocrinology: cycle management from stimulation through transfer, with time spent explaining the rationale and expected outcome of each step.
- Improving IVF outcomes: a focus on the controllable factors that shape success, making the clinical process clearer and more predictable for patients.
- Reproductive health equity: addressing the access gaps that minoritized and under-resourced patients face in fertility care, and working to lower barriers to treatment.
- Patient education: translating specialist information into plain language so patients can decide with full understanding.
Why Choose Dr. Jackson-Bey
Jackson-Bey has been named a New York Rising Star every year since 2021 and is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor—a consistent clinical reputation.
The rarer combination is the reproductive subspecialty plus a public-health degree. Appointed to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce, she works on expanding access to reproductive medicine for underrepresented patients and narrowing outcome gaps—a population-level perspective that informs how she treats patients from very different backgrounds.
She is also one of the more public-facing fertility physicians, running reproductive education on Instagram and appearing on CNN and Fox News. For patients, that means a doctor accustomed to making complex questions transparent, with a lower barrier to real communication.
Professional Affiliations
Jackson-Bey is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Endocrine Society, the National Medical Association, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), and the Society for Reproductive Investigation. She serves on the ASRM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce and is part of the Mount Sinai Health System.
