About
Dr. Vidhya Bharathi (full name Dr. Vidhya Bharathi A/P Subramaniam) is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Metro IVF in Selangor. She graduated MBBS from AIMST University in 2011 and began her career at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru, before completing a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2020.
Her clinical scope spans the full range of obstetrics and gynaecology: antenatal care, ultrasound at every stage of pregnancy, delivery management — spontaneous, assisted and caesarean — and a variety of gynaecological procedures. She is a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), the Malaysian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (GESM) and the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM).
Clinical Expertise
- Antenatal care and obstetric ultrasound: pregnancy follow-up and imaging across all trimesters
- Delivery management: normal vaginal delivery, instrumental delivery and caesarean section
- Gynaecological surgery: operative procedures for common gynaecological pathology
- Female infertility: assessment and treatment within the Metro IVF pathway
- Preconception counselling: health optimisation before pregnancy
Why Choose Dr. Vidhya Bharathi
Dr. Vidhya brings a whole-life-cycle perspective to a fertility clinic: the same clinician can handle preconception screening, surgical gynaecology, pregnancy follow-up and delivery planning, which suits patients whose fertility goals sit alongside other gynaecological conditions. Her USM Master of Medicine training and membership of ISUOG and GESM keep her practice aligned with international standards in obstetric imaging and gynaecological endoscopy. For Metro IVF patients, that breadth means gynaecological issues found during fertility work-ups — fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial pathology — can be managed without transferring care elsewhere.
