About
Dr. Wiboon Kamolpornwijit is an obstetrician-gynaecologist and reproductive medicine specialist at BNH Hospital’s Women’s Health Centre in Bangkok with more than 23 years of clinical experience. He earned his M.D. from Chulalongkorn University and took a Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology at Monash University in Australia, followed by gynaecological endoscopy training at Tokyo Medical University in Japan and with the Asia-Pacific Association of Gynecological Endoscopy.
He is recognized as a pioneer of laparoscopic gynaecological surgery in Thailand: in 2012 he performed the country’s first laparoscopic sterilization at BNH, a milestone in Thai minimally invasive gynecology. This surgeon-scientist background - operative endoscopy plus formal embryology study - positions him uniquely for infertility cases where anatomy and lab work must be planned together.
Clinical Expertise
- Gynaecologic laparoscopic surgery: treatment of pelvic adhesions, endometriosis, ovarian and tubal pathology affecting fertility
- Hysteroscopy: diagnosis and surgery for intrauterine adhesions, polyps and submucosal fibroids
- Infertility management with IVF and ICSI inside a general hospital setting
- Menopause care and general gynaecology
- Clinical embryology: laboratory-side understanding of fertilization and embryo development informing stimulation and transfer decisions
Why Choose Dr. Wiboon Kamolpornwijit
Few fertility doctors in Thailand combine an operating endoscope with an embryology degree. Dr. Wiboon’s Master’s in Clinical Embryology from Monash University means he understands the laboratory half of IVF, while his endoscopy training in Tokyo and his record as the surgeon who performed Thailand’s first laparoscopic sterilization give patients confidence that surgical causes of infertility - adhesions, endometriosis, tubal damage, uterine cavity defects - can be diagnosed and corrected by the same doctor who runs their ART cycle. For patients wanting one accountable specialist across surgery and assisted reproduction within a JCI-accredited hospital, that integration saves time and duplicated work-ups.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Wiboon is affiliated with the Thai Board of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Reproductive Medicine Association of Thailand, and the Asia-Pacific Association of Gynecological Endoscopy. He holds certificates in Gynaecological Endoscopy from The Medical Council of Thailand (with the Thai Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy) and completed endoscopic surgery training at Tokyo Medical University.
