About
Dr. Wong Wen Hao is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and one of the core fertility specialists at Metro IVF, the RTAC-accredited centre in Klang. He graduated in medicine from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) before specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology, and holds three specialist credentials: Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, UK), Fellowship of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG, USA), and membership of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (AM, Mal).
His central focus is fertility. Dr. Wong undertook further training in the field, and in recognition of his contribution to reproductive medicine he was granted memberships of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE) — two of the most influential reproductive medicine organisations in the world.
Before joining Metro IVF he served the Ministry of Health of Malaysia for a decade, working in hospitals around the country and building exposure to a very wide range of obstetric and gynaecological cases. He also served as a Council Member of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM), helping shape specialty standards nationally. A father of two children, he says parenthood is the happiest thing in his life — and that is why he works at helping couples facing fertility problems reach it.

Professional Certifications
Dr. Wong’s MRCOG (UK), FACOG (USA) and AM (Mal) credentials cover the British, American and Malaysian specialist systems — an uncommon combination in Malaysian reproductive medicine. His ASRM and ASPIRE memberships, granted for contributions to the field, and his former OGSM council service place him inside the specialty’s mainstream academic community on both sides of the Pacific.
Why Choose Dr. Wong Wen Hao
International academic recognition. ASRM membership is peer-sponsored and vetted; ASPIRE is the Asia-Pacific reference body for reproductive medicine. Holding both signals that Dr. Wong’s clinical and academic standing is recognised beyond Malaysia — and it keeps his practice aligned with US and regional guideline updates.
Three-country specialist grounding. MRCOG, FACOG and AM (Mal) mean his protocols can draw on British, American and Asian guidance rather than a single national playbook — useful for international patients comparing clinics.
A decade of high-volume public-hospital practice. Ministry of Health rotations across hospitals nationwide put him in front of every common — and many rare — causes of infertility, sharpening the differential diagnosis and the judgment about when treatment should escalate.
Governance-level engagement with the specialty. Service on the OGSM council reflects standing in the Malaysian specialist community and close contact with national practice standards.
