About
Dr. Mayu Yamada is a full-time obstetrician and gynecologist at Hanaoka IVF Clinic (Shinagawa). She graduated from Nippon Medical School in 2013, completed her initial clinical residency and then spent several years from 2017 in the Women’s Clinic and Obstetrics department of Nippon Medical School Musashikosugi Hospital, where she built her practice around comprehensive women’s medical care. She joined Futaraba Medical Corporation as a full-time physician in October 2022.
As the clinic’s standing full-time OB/GYN presence, she follows patients continuously — from the first infertility assessment through stimulation, monitoring and transfer — rather than rotating between unrelated departments. She holds JSOG specialist certification in obstetrics and gynecology and a Women’s Health Care Advisor credential.
Clinical Expertise
- Infertility evaluation and care: full initial workup — hormone tests, ultrasound follicle counts, counseling — and ongoing management
- IVF cycle management: participation in stimulation protocol selection, follicle monitoring, egg retrieval and transfer steps of the clinic’s IVF program
- Women’s health medicine: hormonal balance, reproductive health and general women’s medical concerns, informed by her Women’s Clinic training
Why Choose Dr. Mayu Yamada
Because Dr. Yamada is full-time, the same physician can track a patient’s entire treatment arc at the Shinagawa clinic — continuity that part-time rosters cannot offer, and one that matters in cycle-by-cycle protocols where remembering how a patient responded last month changes decisions this month. Her combined JSOG specialist certification and Women’s Health Care Advisor training mean infertility care is delivered inside a whole-women framework, and colleagues and patients describe her style as patient and attentive, with particular strength in guiding first-visit patients through an unfamiliar treatment pathway.
