About

About

San Antonio medical school (2009), Baylor College of Medicine residency (2013), UCSF fellowship (2016): Yanett Anaya completed the full American pathway to double board certification — certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility — and put it to work for a population fertility care routinely underserves: Spanish-speaking patients, whom she treats without an interpreter.

Her practice covers infertility diagnosis and assisted reproduction — individualized stimulation protocols, egg retrieval and embryo transfer for tubal, male-factor and ovulatory infertility — alongside fertility preservation (egg, embryo and ovarian tissue freezing, including for cancer patients), PCOS management, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and LGBTQ+ family building with donor egg, donor sperm, reciprocal IVF and surrogacy counseling. Her research program sits close to that daily work: preventing and managing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, and widening access and equity in fertility care.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Clinical Expertise

  • IVF and ICSI: Custom ovarian stimulation, retrieval and transfer for tubal factor, male factor and ovulatory infertility
  • Fertility preservation: Egg, embryo and ovarian tissue freezing — urgent protocols for oncology patients and elective planning
  • PCOS management: Ovulation induction, metabolic evaluation and long-term health monitoring
  • Endometriosis and recurrent pregnancy loss: Full evaluation with individualized treatment planning
  • LGBTQ+ family building: Donor egg, donor sperm, reciprocal IVF and gestational carrier counseling
  • OHSS prevention and management: Both a clinical service and a research focus

Why Choose Dr. Yanett Anaya

Two board certifications, not one. ABOG certification in Ob/Gyn and again in REI (2013 and 2016) means her credentials cover the surgery-and-medicine half and the subspecialty half of reproductive care.

Care in Spanish, start to finish. Stimulation instructions, consent conversations and pregnancy results in the patient’s own language — access work she treats as scholarship, studying equity in fertility care itself.

A safety specialty you feel on injectable days. OHSS — the riskiest common complication of stimulation — is her named research area, which shows up in how conservatively and precisely her cycles are monitored.

One physician across the whole family-building map. From preconception checkups to IVF, preservation, loss evaluation and LGBTQ+ pathways, her scope spans the full fertility timeline.
