About

About

Dr. Yeoh Kar Xian graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and took her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) the following year. She is registered with the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia.

She spent her formative years training in the UK national health system: from 2008 to 2014 she worked at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and other hospitals — Walsall Manor, Good Hope, Birmingham Heartlands and Coventry — and completed four years of specialty training in obstetrics and gynaecology. Back in Malaysia she served at Sarawak General Hospital and Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban, and in 2018 the Ministry of Health Malaysia gazetted her as an obstetrics and gynaecology specialist.

In 2022 Dr. Yeoh joined Metro IVF to pursue her subspecialty in fertility treatment and IVF. She is also a committed educator — she taught and assessed junior O&G doctors during her public-hospital years — and an active researcher with 23 publications and research works from collaborations in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Clinical Expertise

  • IVF (in vitro fertilisation): full-cycle management from stimulation protocol design and monitoring to egg collection support and embryo transfer, run to the standards of her UK training within an RTAC-accredited laboratory service
  • Fertility treatment: structured evaluation and stepwise management of ovulatory, tubal and unexplained infertility for both partners
  • Assisted reproductive technology (ART): IUI, ovulation induction and monitoring, and luteal support after treatment
  • General obstetrics and gynaecology: women’s health, endocrine and menstrual problems, and pregnancy-related care drawing on her O&G specialty background

Professional Certifications

Dr. Yeoh holds MRCOG membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and is registered with the UK General Medical Council. She completed four years of UK O&G specialty training and was gazetted as an obstetrics and gynaecology specialist by the Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2018 — credentials in two national specialist systems rather than one.

Why Choose Dr. Yeoh Kar Xian

UK-standard specialty training. Four years of postgraduate training inside the NHS — across five teaching hospitals between 2008 and 2014 — gives Dr. Yeoh a protocol-driven, evidence-first approach to infertility work-ups, which international patients comparing clinics often treat as a quality benchmark.

Dual UK and Malaysian credentials. GMC UK registration plus Malaysian gazetted specialist status mean her practice is accountable to two regulators, and her treatment choices are framed by both British guidelines and Malaysian requirements.

A research record behind the consultations. Twenty-three publications from New Zealand and the UK is unusual for a clinician still taking a fertility subspecialty; patients get protocols chosen from current evidence rather than habit. Her teaching background shows in how she walks patients through each step.

Focused on fertility since 2022. At Metro IVF she has concentrated her established O&G career on fertility treatment and IVF subspecialty training, managing ART cases within an RTAC-accredited centre rather than dividing attention across general practice.

Suitable For

  • First infertility consultation: a structured couple assessment — for both partners — that names the likely cause and the appropriate level of intervention before any treatment starts
  • Couples pursuing IVF: day-to-day management of stimulation, monitoring and transfer within Metro IVF’s accredited programme, with consultant oversight
  • Patients with fertility and general O&G needs together: menstrual irregularity, hormonal imbalance or pregnancy-related concerns handled by a gazetted specialist rather than split between clinics
  • Recurrent pregnancy loss: systematic evaluation of the common causes, followed by monitoring and support in the next pregnancy

Best For

Couples at their first infertility consultation and fertility assessment Couples pursuing IVF and other assisted reproductive treatments General obstetric and gynaecological care and antenatal follow-up Evaluation of recurrent pregnancy loss
