About
Dr. Atsumi Yoshida is Chairman of Genseikai Medical Corporation and Director of Kiba Park Reproductive Center (Kiba Park Clinic) in Tokyo, which he opened in 1999. Born in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, he graduated from Ehime University Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and completed his early clinical training in obstetrics and gynecology at Tokyo Metropolitan Police Hospital.
He is one of the few physicians in Japan who holds certifications as a Reproductive Medicine Specialist (Japanese Society for Reproductive Medicine, 2007), a Certified Clinical Geneticist (Japan Society of Human Genetics, 2009) and an MBA (2010), alongside his original urology research background. His doctoral work on male infertility and chromosomal abnormalities won the Japan Society for Infertility Prize in 1997 for research linking congenital absence of the vas deferens with the deltaF508 cystic fibrosis mutation.
Dr. Yoshida advocates that “infertility is a couple’s condition.” As of December 2022 he had personally performed 16,113 egg retrievals, 22,886 embryo transfers and 1,079 testicular sperm aspirations (source: clinic doctor introduction page).
Clinical Expertise
- Female infertility diagnosis and treatment — ovulation disorders, diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis and tubal factors
- Male infertility diagnosis and treatment — oligospermia, azoospermia and varicocele, with expertise in testicular sperm aspiration/extraction (TESE)
- IVF and ICSI — protocol selection across high-stimulation, mild-stimulation and natural-cycle approaches matched to each patient’s ovarian profile
- PGT-A — preimplantation genetic screening for embryo aneuploidy, informed by his clinical genetics board certification
- Full-cycle management — from first-visit work-up through stimulation, retrieval, transfer and pregnancy confirmation
Why Choose Dr. Atsumi Yoshida
Treats both partners. Dr. Yoshida is among a small number of Japanese reproductive specialists qualified in both gynecology and andrology (he trained as a research student in Toho University’s urology department), so couples can be assessed and treated together instead of shuttling between clinics.
Volume-backed experience. Since 1986 he has accumulated more than 35 years of practice; his personally logged surgical numbers — over 16,000 retrievals and 22,800 transfers — exceed the lifetime volume of most single clinicians (source: clinic doctor introduction page).
Genetics depth. As a Certified Clinical Geneticist he brings an informed perspective to PGT-A counseling and inherited-factor work-ups such as congenital absence of the vas deferens.
Built the clinic to accreditation standard. He founded Kiba Park Clinic in 1999 and developed it into one of only five JISART-accredited fertility clinics in Tokyo, with transparent, self-published outcomes.
