About

About

Evan Rosenbluth was teaching adaptive sport to people with disabilities on the slopes when he decided medicine was his route, and within two weeks he had driven across the country to start a one-year post-baccalaureate program to make up his medical-school prerequisites. Before that he had combined a psychology degree with photojournalism, documenting people’s lives rather than treating them. That sequence is why his clinical interests still name disability-inclusive fertility care: he came to medicine through it.

The training after the switch was high-volume by design. He went straight into Tulane Medical School, matched at the University of Utah for obstetrics and gynecology — one of the busiest residency programs in the country, where he delivered more than 1,200 babies — and collected surgical honors and research awards that produced patents on novel gynecological devices. His reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Iowa continued the award-winning research track, this time on non-invasive ways to assess embryo health.

At Iowa he was also, by his own practice biography, instrumental in starting the first single embryo transfer policy in the country — a practice he brought to RSC, and one the American Society for Reproductive Medicine later made standard of care. He is now a senior partner at RSC, Surgical Director and Sonography Director, double board-certified in OB/GYN and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, practicing at San Ramon. Complex Müllerian anomalies needing surgery sit at the top of his interest list, alongside care for patients with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ patients. His photographs hang on the walls of the San Ramon office.

Clinical Expertise

  • Single embryo transfer: helped establish the policy at Iowa, applies it at RSC; eSET is the practice’s stated position on its own success-rate page
  • Complex Müllerian anomalies: uterine malformations — septate and other cavity abnormalities — evaluated and corrected surgically before transfer
  • Reproductive surgery: as the practice’s Surgical Director, the surgeon behind hysteroscopic and corrective infertility procedures
  • Ultrasound and cycle monitoring: as Sonography Director he owns the imaging side of monitoring, which is where an abnormal cavity or a poor response first shows up
  • Inclusive fertility care: named interest in patients with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ patients, grounded in his pre-medical work in adaptive sport

Why Choose Dr. Evan Rosenbluth

Two directorships and a partner’s stake. Surgical Director and Sonography Director at the same time is an unusual pairing — the person deciding how your cavity is assessed is also the person operating if something has to be corrected. For a patient told she has a uterine anomaly, that removes a handoff.

He was on the winning side of a practice change. Single embryo transfer went from a policy he helped start in fellowship to ASRM’s standard of care. Transferring one embryo is what cuts the odds of twins, and twin pregnancies are the complication most IVF quotes leave out of the conversation. His position is on the record.

A surgical track record with patents behind it. Top surgical honors in residency and patents for gynecological devices are the credentials that matter when a cycle ends up needing an operation instead of another transfer.

He treats the patients most clinics handle as outliers. Disability-inclusive care and LGBTQIA+ family building are listed as his interests, not the practice’s marketing; the adaptive-sport history is the reason.
