About
Dr. Frank Polansky is the founder and medical director of Bay IVF, a boutique fertility clinic in Palo Alto, California. With more than 35 years of clinical experience in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI), he has been at the forefront of assisted reproduction since co-founding the Stanford IVF Clinic in 1985.

Why Choose Dr. Frank Polansky
Stanford IVF co-founder: In 1985, Dr. Polansky co-founded the Stanford IVF Clinic — among the earliest IVF centers in the United States — bringing top-tier academic resources and clinical judgment to his patients at Bay IVF.
Hands-on care in every step: Unlike large clinics, Dr. Polansky personally performs every patient’s ultrasounds, egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and ovarian/endometrial stimulations. This consistent, continuous care model ensures treatment continuity and personalization.
From the earliest IVF centers to a boutique clinic: After leaving Stanford in 1987, he founded Nova IVF — California’s first non-hospital IVF clinic — and then Bay IVF in 2011. His 35+ years of experience spans nearly every infertility presentation.
Uncompromised accessibility: Patients repeatedly describe Dr. Polansky as patient, meticulous, and a careful listener. He freely shares his personal contact information, ensuring accessibility and availability 24/7.
