About
Iryna Kononenko is a gynecologist-endocrinologist and reproductive medicine specialist at the Dakhno Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Kyiv, focusing on assisted reproductive technologies. She belongs to the generation of Ukrainian reproductive physicians trained from the ground up at Bogomolets National Medical University, where she studied medicine from 1976 to 1982 and later completed clinical residency (1987-1989), with an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Kyiv City Hospital No. 14 in between.
At the institute she carries out the core clinical work of an IVF program: diagnostic evaluation of infertile couples, design of stimulation and drug-support schemes, ultrasound-monitored cycles, transvaginal egg retrieval and embryo transfer. She remains active in the professional community, regularly attending Ukrainian and international conferences in obstetrics, gynecology, perinatal medicine and reproductive medicine, and holds memberships in ESHRE, ASRM and UARM.

Why Choose Iryna Kononenko
Dr. Kononenko offers continuity across every stage of an IVF cycle — one physician who diagnoses the cause, writes the protocol, monitors the follicles, performs the retrieval and carries out the transfer. That end-to-end capability removes hand-offs that often fragment fertility care. Her triple society membership (ESHRE, ASRM, UARM) signals practice benchmarked against European and US standards as well as Ukrainian protocols, and her training lineage — from Bogomolets in the 1970s-80s to four decades of clinical work — brings deep pattern recognition to complex infertility cases. A review on the institute’s platform credits her with the prompt referral that led to timely treatment of a serious condition, reflecting strong diagnostic vigilance.
