About

About

Before she joined Reproductive Partners Medical Group, Dr. Jackie Ho held the job that most egg-freezing consultations are really about: she was on the faculty at the University of Southern California and ran its Fertility Preservation program. That is the clinical service that organizes eggs and embryos for patients about to start chemotherapy or radiation, where the preservation window is measured in days, not months. She left academic practice to concentrate on patient care in the private setting, and she now sees patients at the group’s South Bay campus in Torrance.

Her research sits in the same lane as her clinical focus, which is unusual. During USC fellowship training she completed a master’s in clinical research and produced award-winning work on three questions that dominate frozen-egg counseling: what outcomes actually look like from cryopreserved oocytes, which noninvasive biomarkers predict embryo quality, and how fertility preservation results should be reported to patients deciding whether to freeze. Those are the numbers behind a “should I freeze now” conversation, and she has been invited to speak at conferences as an expert on preservation for cancer patients.

She trained in California at every step: a molecular and cell biology degree at UC Berkeley, an MD from UC Irvine School of Medicine in 2008, obstetrics and gynecology residency at UCSF completed in 2012, and USC Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship with the clinical-research master’s finished in 2015. She holds board certification in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and Los Angeles Magazine has named her a Top Doctor. In one of the practice’s published patient stories, a mother of three years of unsuccessful trying credits Ho with the IVF care that brought her daughter home — the kind of continuity patients describe when a physician explains the protocol instead of delegating it.

Clinical Expertise

  • Medical fertility preservation: egg, embryo and sperm freezing ahead of chemotherapy, radiation or gonadotoxic surgery, coordinated with the treating oncologist’s schedule
  • Elective egg freezing: stimulation, vitrification and honest counseling on how many eggs to bank, based on age and reserve, and on what frozen-oocyte survival data actually support
  • Cryopreserved oocyte outcomes: her published research area — thaw survival, fertilization and live birth rates from frozen eggs
  • Embryo selection: work on noninvasive biomarkers of embryo quality, applied when deciding which embryo to transfer and whether to test
  • IVF with PGT-A: blastocyst-stage biopsy with the sample run at an outside genetics laboratory
  • General infertility care: IUI, ovulation induction, diminished ovarian reserve and advanced maternal age counseling

Why Choose Dr. Jackie Ho

She built the program, not just the prescriptions. Directing a university fertility preservation program means owning the pathway from an oncology phone call to a completed freeze, including the lab logistics most patients never see.

Her publications answer the questions patients ask. How well do frozen eggs work? What predicts a good embryo? Those were her research topics, with a clinical-research degree behind them.

Both board certifications. Obstetrics and gynecology plus reproductive endocrinology and infertility, UCLA-adjacent training at UCSF and USC, and a Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctor designation.

She chose practice volume over academic titles. Her move to a program that reported 3,302 cycles in SART’s 2023 final year means the preservation and IVF work sits in a high-throughput CAP-accredited lab rather than a low-volume one.

Professional Affiliations

Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Master of Science in Clinical Research, University of Southern California; UCSF residency; UC Irvine School of Medicine. Former USC faculty and Director of the USC Fertility Preservation program. Invited lecturer on oncofertility and fertility preservation; published on cryopreserved oocyte outcomes and embryo-quality biomarkers. On staff at Reproductive Partners Medical Group, a SART-member practice (clinic ID 2254) inside the Ivy Fertility network.

Suitable For

  • Patients with a new cancer diagnosis who need freezing done before treatment starts, on someone else’s deadline
  • Women considering elective egg freezing who want the survival and live-birth numbers, not a sales pitch
  • Anyone deciding between transferring a fresh or a thawed embryo, where her biomarker research is directly relevant
  • Complex or age-related IVF cases where PGT-A is being weighed
  • Endometriosis, PCOS or unexplained infertility patients wanting a physician who reads the literature in her own subspecialty

Best For

Cancer patients preserving fertility before chemotherapy or radiation Elective egg freezing with a real timeline question Patients deciding between fresh and frozen embryos IVF patients considering PGT-A Anyone whose central question is how long stored eggs stay usable
