About
Dr. Jenna Rehmer completed her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in 2021, and the job she holds now is the one that checks how cycles are run there: quality and safety director of Cleveland Clinic Fertility Center. In a program that filed 1,562 treatment cycles for the 2023 SART reporting year, that role covers the process controls behind the numbers — who verifies what, at which step, and what happens when a step is missed.
Her own training path runs from the University of Missouri, where she took a bachelor’s degree in 2010 and her medical degree in 2014, through obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, finished in 2018, and back to Cleveland for subspecialty training. She holds ABOG certification in obstetrics and gynecology; her REI training is a completed fellowship at Cleveland Clinic rather than a subspecialty certificate, which is worth knowing when you compare physicians’ credentials on this staff.
She is a fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinology physician on the Beachwood team, so patients see her for cycle care as well as for the systems work behind it. Having trained inside the institution where she now practices, she knows the center’s protocols from both sides of the table.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF cycle care: stimulation, monitoring, retrieval coordination, embryo culture decisions and transfer, within the center’s standard cycle pathway
- Female infertility evaluation: ovulatory dysfunction, tubal factors and unexplained subfertility, worked up before a treatment plan is set
- Quality and safety systems for ART: owns standardization of the center’s clinical processes and patient safety measures, the part of cycle care that rarely shows up in a brochure but governs medication handling, specimen identification and procedure checklists
- Evidence-based protocol selection: treatment choices argued from published evidence rather than from clinic habit, an explicit part of her clinical approach
- Reproductive health management: contraception, menstrual and endocrine issues managed alongside fertility treatment for patients who are not yet in a cycle
Why Choose Dr. Jenna Rehmer
A physician whose job title is the safety of your cycle. Most fertility centers do not publish who owns quality assurance. At this one, the named director of quality and safety is also accepting patients — a reasonable answer for prospective patients who ask what stops a medication or specimen error.
She trained where she practices. Her REI fellowship was completed at Cleveland Clinic in 2021, so the center’s protocols are the ones she was taught, and her first clinical job has been auditing them.
Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the ABOG, with residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a medical degree from the University of Missouri.
