About
Dr. Jo Kitawaki is one of Japan’s most published reproductive medicine authorities. He completed both his medical degree and doctorate at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, rose to professor and then president of the university hospital, and was named Professor Emeritus in 2018. He joined Medical Corporation Oak in 2020, bringing three decades of academic and clinical experience to the Oak Clinic group.
His clinical focus spans reproductive endocrinology, endometriosis, assisted reproduction, laparoscopic surgery and women’s health. He has authored more than 200 English-language original papers (source: official clinic staff profile), making his work internationally citable in endometriosis and infertility research.
He also serves on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s advanced medical care council and holds auditor positions in Japan’s leading reproductive and gynecological societies, so his practice reflects both national policy-level insight and hands-on subspecialty care.
