About
Dr. Ping-Yao Lin is Director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine at Maosheng Fertility Center (Lee Women’s Hospital) in Taichung. She earned her MD at Kaohsiung Medical University and a PhD from Chung-Shan Medical University’s Institute of Medicine, completed residency and chief residency at Linkou and Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospitals, and went on to lead the Division of Reproductive Medicine at Kaohsiung Chang Gung before taking her current directorship.
Her research niche is mosaic embryo transfer — one of the hardest judgment calls in modern IVF. In 2019 her study on the clinical outcomes of single embryo transfer with highly mosaic embryos won first prize for oral presentation at the annual meeting of the Taiwan Society of Reproductive Medicine; she also took the society’s best paper award in 2013. She is among the leading Taiwan-based voices on whether, and how, to transfer mosaic embryos.
Patients notice her too: across nearly 3,000 Google reviews of the hospital, Dr. Lin is one of the most frequently named physicians, with “professional, attentive, and warm” recurring and multiple accounts of success in a first transfer cycle.
Clinical Expertise
- IVF (in vitro fertilization): Individualized protocols from standard long and short regimens to luteal-phase stimulation, with mosaic embryo transfer strategy as her research specialty.

- Laparoscopic surgery: Endoscopic training in the Chang Gung system for hydrolaxed fallopian tubes, endometriosis, and other surgical barriers to conception.
- Obstetrics: Continued pregnancy and delivery care after successful fertility treatment.
