About
Natalia Llarena trained end to end at the Cleveland Clinic — residency and REI fellowship there — and took the clinic’s Tommaso Falcone Award for excellence in reproductive endocrinology. That training shows in a practice that blends surgery and IVF rather than treating them as separate worlds.
Before Cleveland she earned honors degrees in human biology at Stanford and her MD at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine, where she received a research-excellence award. She has since been appointed to teach medical students at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, and her teaching extends to anatomy labs, surgical-skills coaching, and a ten-week course she designed for undergraduates on the biology, society and politics of HIV/AIDS.
Her clinical and research focus is assisted reproduction, ovarian aging, endometriosis and reproductive surgery, and she has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in those areas. She practices at HRC Fertility Pasadena.
