About
Leading one of American fertility medicine’s two defining societies is a career-defining appointment. Owen K. Davis, M.D., has led both: President of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology — the body that collects and publishes the clinic-level IVF outcome data every US patient eventually googles — and then President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, a role he has just completed, serving now as Immediate Past President.
His day job is running IVF itself. As Associate Director of In Vitro Fertilization at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine, Davis oversees the clinical program inside the same center where he holds a professorship in obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive medicine. He is board-certified in both OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
He has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on IVF, preimplantation genetic testing, fertility preservation and recurrent pregnancy loss, and remains an active clinical researcher. A long-standing presence on New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” list and in Castle Connolly’s national and metro rankings, he also carries the specialty’s quieter honors — the Patients’ Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition. He sees patients at CRM’s Upper East Side office and accepts several major insurance plans including Cigna, Aetna, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Oxford and United Healthcare.

- Egg Donation and Third-Party Reproduction: Donor screening, cycle synchronization and transfer within one of the country’s largest donor programs
- Ovulation Induction: Drug-based and monitored cycles for PCOS and other ovulation disorders

Why Choose Dr. Davis
He has sat on both hot seats of US fertility medicine. SART President, then ASRM President. The guidelines, outcome-reporting rules and ethical standards your clinic follows were co-written by the society he ran — and now the man who ran them is taking your history.
He runs the IVF program, not just a clinic within it. Associate Director of IVF at CRM is an operational title: cycle protocols and lab-clinic integration pass his desk.
Insurance in New York fertility care is the exception, not the rule. His practice lists acceptance of Cigna, Aetna, Empire BCBS, Oxford, United Healthcare and the Weill Cornell-Aetna plan — worth confirming against your policy before your first call.
Consistently ranked, widely published. Regular listings on New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” and in Castle Connolly’s national and metro rankings, and more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
