About
Dr. Rachel Mejia earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology (with a Spanish minor) from Drake University, then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Des Moines University. She completed both her OB/GYN residency and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Mejia was drawn to CRM for its patient-centered philosophy and strong ethical foundation. As a D.O., she emphasizes a holistic approach to care. She believes effective treatment is built on trust established through listening — every patient who enters her office carries a unique story of past disappointments, losses, hopes, concerns, and goals. Her first priority is to understand these fully, then develop a plan grounded in both medical evidence and the patient’s personal values.
She also holds ABOG’s Focus in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology (PAG), enabling her to provide specialized fertility health assessment and counseling for younger patients.
