About
Samuel Tarantino Jr. runs the operating-room side of The Reproductive Medicine Group. As medical director of the group’s IVF and Surgery Center, he oversees the facility where the practice performs egg retrieval and embryo transfer, and he has been a partner since 1997, making him one of the group’s longest-serving physicians. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility subspecialty.
Dr. Tarantino sees patients at the North Tampa and Clearwater offices. He does not sit at the South Tampa office, which is the location this ProIVF page centers on; to book with him you would choose North Tampa or Clearwater. His North Tampa base sits next to the RMG IVF Surgery Center on Fletcher Avenue, the site he directs and where the group’s retrieval and transfer procedures are performed.
His surgical focus is well documented. He has a special interest in operative laparoscopy and is the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Operative Laparoscopy, and he treats infertility, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and menopause, with extensive experience in ovulation induction, IVF and donor-egg cycles. He earned his undergraduate degree at Hamilton College and his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed OB/GYN residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and did his fellowship at Michael Reese Medical Center, written as “Michael Reece” on the clinic’s own site. He is fluent in Spanish.
