About

About

Dr. Stephanie Cizek is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) at Stanford University. She graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, completed her OB/GYN residency at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco, and finished her PAG fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Cizek specializes in gynecologic care for girls and young women, with research interests in the gynecologic effects of cancer, female reproductive tract anomalies, transgender care, and menstrual disorders. She emphasizes an individualized pace and communication style, helping young patients and their families feel comfortable and respected.

Clinical Expertise

  • Adolescent Gynecologic Health: Menstrual disorders, pubertal abnormalities, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, and other common adolescent gynecologic issues.
  • Fertility Preservation for Cancer Survivors: Gynecologic assessment and fertility preservation planning for adolescent and young adult women after cancer treatment.
  • Congenital Reproductive Tract Anomalies: Management of uterine, cervical, and vaginal congenital malformations, including differences of sexual development (DSD).
  • Transgender Care: Professional gynecologic care support for gender-related needs.
  • Gynecologic and Robotic Surgery: Minimally invasive surgical treatment of gynecologic conditions, including reproductive robotic surgery.

Why Choose Dr. Cizek

Dr. Cizek holds the Focused Practice in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2021), on top of her ABOG Obstetrics & Gynecology certification (2018) — the subspecialty credential behind her pediatric and adolescent focus.

She pays particular attention to the impact of cancer on adolescent fertility, collaborating with the fertility center’s oncofertility team to provide gynecologic assessment and fertility support for post-treatment patients, helping them retain the possibility of motherhood after treatment.

Dr. Cizek practices patient- and family-centered care, letting the visit pace be driven by the patient — particularly well suited for young patients who may feel anxious about gynecologic examinations.
