About
Dr. Taku Kawashima is a fertility physician at Sugiyama Ob-Gyn Clinic Shinjuku, where he joined in 2025. His path to medicine is unusual: he first graduated from the Faculty of Law of The University of Tokyo, worked outside the medical field, and then retrained at the Faculty of Medicine, Shinshu University.
After initial training at Kasukabe Municipal Medical Center, he built clinical experience at Jichi Medical University Saitama Medical Center and Omiya Ladies Clinic before joining Sugiyama. His practice covers general infertility, in vitro fertilization, low AMH cases, and hysteroscopic examination.
Dr. Kawashima describes himself as a physician who listens carefully. He aims to support each patient according to their own background — a perspective shaped by his career before medicine.
