About
Tiffany Von Wald came to CCRM Colorado in 2024 from a professorship in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, where she taught medical students and residents and sat on institutional bioethics committees. Few physicians in a fertility practice carry an MPH next to their name; she earned hers at the University of Kansas, the same institution that trained her as a resident, after an MD at the University of South Dakota. Her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility was at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Eighteen years of practice in three states precede the Colorado move: Sanford Fertility and Reproductive Medicine in Sioux Falls, Conceptions Reproductive Associates in Littleton, and the Center for Reproductive Medicine in Wichita. That route matters for a patient choosing a doctor, because it means she has run the same decisions — when to move from IUI to IVF, how many embryos to replace, what to do with the ones left over — in several practice cultures with different default answers.
Her clinical focus is the group of diagnoses where the evidence is thinnest: polycystic ovary syndrome and ovulatory disorders, unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and endocrine barriers to conception. Her academic record includes teaching awards — the Ob/Gyn Helping Hand Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching and the Jayhawker MD Resident Award for Excellence in Teaching — plus the Sanford Health New to Sanford Award for clinical excellence. She is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, holds a Castle Connolly Top Doctor designation, and is accepting new patients.
Clinical Expertise
- PCOS and ovulatory dysfunction: ovulation induction and stimulation strategies designed to limit over-response in polycystic ovaries
- Unexplained infertility: structured workup before escalation, and an honest read of when IUI stops adding value
- Recurrent pregnancy loss: evaluation of genetic, uterine and endocrine causes, with PGT-A used to inform transfer decisions
- IVF cycle management with PGT-A: stimulation through monitoring, retrieval and screened single embryo transfer
- Egg freezing and fertility preservation: elective preservation and medical indications
- Ethics and consent in reproduction: bioethics committee service, which shapes how she handles embryo disposition, donor and third-party questions
Why Choose Dr. Tiffany Von Wald
A population-health degree, not just a clinical one. The MPH shows up in how she frames risk and benefit — cumulative success across cycles rather than a single transfer — and in her comfort with the outcomes literature.
She taught residents for years. Two named teaching awards, plus faculty appointments, are the reason patients describe her consultations as unusually explanatory.
Three states of practice patterns. Wichita, Littleton and Sioux Falls each ran ART differently; she has seen which defaults are protocol and which are habit.
She sits on ethics committees. Third-party reproduction, disposition of remaining embryos and donor disclosure are decided with consent documents, and she has spent time inside those decisions.
