About

About

Dr. Ming-Yi Wu is Vice President of the Banqiao Campus of Maosheng Fertility Center (Lee Women’s Hospital) in New Taipei City. He graduated from the School of Medicine at National Taiwan University’s College of Medicine, completed residency, chief residency, and a reproductive endocrinology fellowship at NTU Hospital, served as its attending physician, and rose to clinical assistant professor in NTU’s OB-GYN department.

From 2003 to 2004 he conducted embryonic stem cell research in the Department of Human Genetics at Emory University in Atlanta on a Ministry of Education fellowship — an experience that anchors his understanding of embryo development and implantation biology. His scholarly output is exceptional for a practicing clinician: 83 SCI-indexed papers and eight consecutive National Science Council research grants as principal investigator.

His honors include the Young Scientist Award at the 5th World Congress on Endometriosis (Yokohama, 1996) and multiple best-paper awards from NTU Hospital, the Taiwan Society of Reproductive Medicine (including the Professor Li Tzu-Yao Outstanding Paper Award), and the Taiwan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2022 NTU Hospital gave him its Teaching Dedication Award, and he has served as Secretary-General and board director of the Taiwan Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Clinical Expertise

  • Infertility and IVF: Reproductive endocrinology fellowship training plus stem cell research, brought to bear on embryo development, implantation failure, and stimulation design.
  • Immunologic infertility and recurrent miscarriage: A genetics-and-immunology crossover background supporting systematic immune work-up and treatment after repeated loss.
  • Endometriosis: The focus of his award-winning early research; deep diagnostic and therapeutic experience in endometriosis-associated infertility.
  • Hysteroscopy: Management of cavity factors — polyps, adhesions, septa — that obstruct implantation.

Why Choose Dr. Ming-Yi Wu

83 SCI papers and a decade of funded research An academic record of this size is rare among Taiwan reproductive clinicians; theory this deep converts into mechanism-level analysis of difficult cases rather than protocol-by-reflex treatment.

World-stage recognition, early The 1996 Young Scientist Award at the World Congress on Endometriosis placed his endometriosis work on the global research map more than two decades ago — and endometriosis infertility remains a signature strength.

Government-funded international research The Ministry of Education fellowship at Emory University’s human genetics department is a nationally competitive appointment, and it gave him first-hand experience at the frontier of embryo stem cell biology.

Clinician, teacher, and society leader NTU clinical assistant professor, TSRM Secretary-General, HPA-accredited assisted reproduction practitioner, and reproductive technology training at the National University of Singapore — a complete record across clinical care, teaching, research, and professional service.
