About
Dr. Yoko Gekka is a reproductive medicine physician at Sugiyama Ob-Gyn Clinic Shinjuku. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Kitasato University, completed initial training at the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center in Hiroo, and pursued advanced obstetric and gynecologic training at the Aieien Maternity and General Medical Center before joining Sugiyama in 2018.
Her practice spans general infertility treatment, ovulation induction, egg freezing, and general gynecology. As a certified specialist of both the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine, she covers the full path from everyday women’s health questions to active fertility treatment.
The road to pregnancy can be painful, she acknowledges — her stated commitment is to keep patients facing treatment positively, with a smile and a sense of reassurance.

Why Choose Dr. Gekka
Dr. Gekka is explicitly recommended for patients who find it difficult to raise concerns with a doctor. Her consulting style is deliberate about listening first, and the questions she invites — the ones patients usually hold back — are often exactly the ones that matter early in treatment. For couples at the beginning of their journey, that combination of board-certified expertise and low-pressure communication makes the first steps far less intimidating.
