About
Zain A. Al-Safi took a longer road into reproductive endocrinology than most. He earned his MD at the University of Al-Nahrain in 2004, completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and finished a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at University of Colorado Hospital in 2015. He holds American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certification in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and the REI subspecialty, and practices with UCLA Health’s fertility program at the Santa Monica OB/GYN Specialty Suite.
His clinical work centers on infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, oncofertility and reproductive surgery. Inside the academic program he keeps research interests in obesity and reproduction, infertility treatment outcomes and menopausal health.
