Advanced Fertility Center of Texas (AFCT) is a privately owned fertility clinic in Houston, Texas, led by board-certified reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Michael Allon. The practice has served families since 2005 across three locations: Houston–Memorial City, Spring/The Woodlands, and College Station.

Unlike large hospital networks or corporate chains, AFCT is an independent practice that customizes treatment for each patient. The center works exclusively with Omni Med Laboratory, bringing embryology, andrology, high-complexity IVF testing, and preimplantation genetic testing in-house for same-day results and seamless coordination. Patient Journey

1. Initial Consultation — Online, phone, or telemedicine consultation with a patient coordinator assisting with scheduling.
2. Comprehensive Fertility Evaluation — AMH, antral follicle count, hormone levels, semen analysis, Omega-3 inflammation ratio, and microbiome/immune assessment when indicated.
3. Personalized Treatment Plan — The physician reviews results with the patient and designs a tailored protocol (IVF, minimal stimulation IVF, IUI, or other).
4. Stimulation & Cycle Monitoring — Ovarian stimulation with AI-assisted FOLLISCAN follicle monitoring; in-house hormone testing with same-day results.
5. Egg Retrieval & Lab Work — Outpatient retrieval under sedation; fertilization by ICSI or conventional IVF at Omni Med Laboratory; embryos cultured to blastocyst (days 5–6).
6. Embryo Transfer & Pregnancy Test — Fresh or frozen embryo transfer at the optimal time; pregnancy test approximately 12 days after transfer; continued early pregnancy monitoring before referral to obstetrics.

Local Legal Framework

Texas reproductive law is governed primarily by the Uniform Parentage Act (Texas Family Code Chapter 160). Egg and sperm donation is legally supported with written donor agreements. PGT-A/PGT-M has no special legal restrictions in Texas. Gestational surrogacy is legal under a clear legal framework, and commercial surrogacy is permitted under certain conditions. Texas has not established a definitive legal status for embryos. AFCT explicitly provides equal fertility care to all patients, including LGBTQ+ families.
