About California IVF Fertility Center
California IVF Fertility Center is a private fertility center in Sacramento’s Natomas area, founded in 2004 as California IVF: Davis Fertility Center, Inc. In July 2011, the center entered a collaborative agreement with UC Davis Health System’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, taking over all clinical services of the former UC Davis Fertility Center in Sacramento. Physicians hold faculty appointments at the UC Davis School of Medicine and participate in resident and medical student teaching.
The center operates a purpose-built facility with an in-house research laboratory, operating room, and a state-of-the-art air-filtration system — one of the most advanced embryology laboratories in Northern California. It pioneered genetic testing of embryos in 2005 and achieved successful live births from frozen oocytes.
California IVF has been named to Newsweek’s America’s Best Fertility Clinics for four consecutive years: No. 30 (2023), No. 27 (2024), No. 36 (2025), and No. 41 (2026), ranking No. 2 in Northern California in 2026.
Success rates: According to the CDC NASS 2022 report, the center completed 804 ART cycles with cumulative live birth rates per intended egg retrieval of 45.9% (under 35), 22.8% (35-37), 30.0% (38-40), and 13.1% (over 40); 98.5% of transfers used frozen embryos. The center’s website reports a 63% clinical pregnancy rate per embryo transfer in 2024 for patients under 40 using a single PGT-A tested embryo, and a 70-75% clinical pregnancy rate per attempt for its donor embryo program, with cumulative success exceeding 95% over three attempts.

- Egg/Sperm Donation: Clear legal framework requiring written informed consent; donors hold no parental rights.
