About
Dr. Nina Resetkova collected an unusual triple before her first fertility job: a biochemistry degree from McGill, then a combined MD-MBA in Texas (health organization management), then an OB/GYN residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she sat on the ethics and quality-improvement committees and was elected Vice Chair of Communications on the House Staff Council. She finished the training with a research fellowship in Harvard’s stem cell and reproductive biology department, profiling RNA in the developing embryo.
Two research threads define her clinically. The first is economics: her cost-effectiveness analysis of preimplantation genetic screening for recurrent pregnancy loss patients earned a prize oral presentation at the 2013 ASRM annual conference — work that asks whether expensive embryo testing actually pays off for the patient in front of it. The second is LGBTQ+ care: she co-authored the 2019 Fertility and Sterility comparison of ART outcomes in female-to-male transgender patients versus cisgender patients, and a 2021 commentary in F&S Reports calling for best practice standards in how clinics serve lesbian women pursuing pregnancy.
Born in Slovakia and raised in Toronto from a young age, Resetkova sees a wide spectrum of patients — fertility option counseling, preservation, and family building for the LGBTQ+ community — at Boston IVF’s Downtown Boston center, with telehealth across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a Fellow of ACOG and has held an executive role in the New England Fertility Society.
Clinical Expertise
- Transgender Fertility Preservation: Novel outcome research presented at national meetings; counseling on banking and family paths for trans patients
- Lesbian and LGBTQ+ Family Building: Donor sperm, IUI and IVF pathways; author of best-practice commentary for clinics
- PGT-A Value Counseling: Her PGS cost-effectiveness research is directly about which patients benefit from genetic testing
- IVF and ICSI: Full-cycle management grounded in embryo biology (her Harvard fellowship studied embryo RNA profiles)
- Fertility Option Consultations: Broad evaluations including prepubertal fertility preservation, on which she has published
Why Choose Dr. Nina Resetkova
She prices the tests she offers you. An MBA in health management plus a prize-winning cost-effectiveness study means PGT-A recommendations come with arithmetic, not marketing.
She wrote the transgender outcomes evidence. For patients who need a clinic that has actually measured ART results in trans men rather than assumed them, her publication record is the credential.
Ethics-committee training. Hopkins put her on the committee where reproductive dilemmas get formal review — a habit of reasoning she brings to personalized care.
Embanked science behind the bedside. From embryo RNA profiling to outcome statistics, she works both layers of reproductive biology.
