About Nashville Fertility Center
Nashville Fertility Center was founded in 1991 by George A. Hill, MD, and has practiced as a dedicated fertility center for Middle Tennessee ever since. The flagship office sits at 345 23rd Avenue North in Nashville, with satellite offices in Franklin (4601 Carothers Parkway), Murfreesboro (1725 Medical Center Parkway) and Clarksville (787 Weatherly Drive). The clinic states that its IVF and IUI programs have resulted in more than 3,000 healthy babies — a self-reported cumulative figure spanning more than three decades, not an audited annual rate.
The practice does not run its embryology in isolation. It works side by side with Ovation Nashville — the reproductive andrology, endocrinology and IVF laboratory on site — the Middle Tennessee Ambulatory Surgery Center for procedures, and Reproductive Genetics at Nashville Fertility Center for embryo testing. Ovation Nashville was one of the first laboratories in the country accredited under the joint College of American Pathologists (CAP) and ASRM Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program, and it also holds CLIA certification and Tennessee state licensure. Reproductive urologists collaborate with the physicians on male factor cases, including MESA and TESA sperm retrieval.
Outcomes, and what they cover. SART registers Nashville Fertility Center as one reporting unit (ClinicPKID 2292). The 2023 filing records 1,822 ART cycles — against a national per-clinic average near 738 — and the four offices are not broken out separately in the data, so read every number below as a clinic-wide figure. Cumulative live birth per intended retrieval, SART 2023: 57.5% under 35 (US average 53.2%), 38.8% at 35-37 (US average 39.9%), 26.8% at 38-40 (US average 26.2%) and 13.1% in the 41-42 band (US average 9.4%). The clinic beats the national benchmark in three of four age bands and lands slightly under it at 35-37 — the honest summary is a program at or above the US average almost everywhere, not a clinic leading the field.
Accreditations & Awards
- CAP/ASRM Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation held by the Ovation Nashville lab — one of the first labs in the country accredited under that joint program — plus CLIA certification and Tennessee state licensure
- SART member clinic filing cycle-level outcomes to SART and the CDC under registration 2292, so the success figures on this page are independently verifiable
- Newsweek “America’s Best Fertility Clinics” 2024 — a ranking badge displayed on the clinic’s own site
- Aetna Institute of Excellence designation displayed alongside the SART and CAP marks in the clinic footer
- 30+ years of continuous operation in Nashville since 1991
Why Choose Nashville Fertility Center
- Accredited embryology down the hall: ICSI, embryo culture, vitrified freezing and embryo biopsy are performed by Ovation Nashville’s own embryologists in a CAP/ASRM-accredited lab instead of being outsourced to a distant commercial lab
- A national bench behind a local clinic: Ovation’s embryologists, andrologists and reproductive endocrinologists have collaborated in a nationwide research cooperative for nearly 20 years, which is how freezing and culture techniques get vetted before routine use
- Genetics in-house: Reproductive Genetics at Nashville Fertility Center handles PGT work on site rather than mailing biopsies out of state
- Volume reported as one audited unit: 1,822 ART cycles in the 2023 SART filing, with no office-level split published — compare the per-age-band numbers above against the national averages before ruling any clinic in or out
- Built for more than traditional couples: the clinic runs explicit service paths for LGBTQIA+ patients, single women, single men and cancer patients facing treatment-related infertility
- Surgical options inside the IVF practice: laparoscopic myomectomy, tubal reversal, hysteroscopic surgery and, with collaborating urologists, MESA/TESA — patients with fibroids or blocked tubes are not referred out of the practice
IVF & Fertility Services
- In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): individualized stimulation, monitoring by bloodwork and ultrasound, transvaginal retrieval, embryo culture to day 5 and fresh or frozen transfer
- ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection): performed in the Ovation lab for male factor infertility or prior fertilization issues
- IUI with ovulation induction and superovulation: the clinic’s first-line tier of treatment, from timed-intercourse counseling up to medicated insemination
- Frozen embryo transfer (FET): warming and transfer of vitrified embryos
- Egg, embryo and sperm freezing: elective fertility preservation and medical preservation before cancer treatment (oncofertility)
- Donor eggs, donor sperm and gestational carrier programs: third-party family building, offered for more than three decades per the clinic’s own materials
- PGT-A and PGT-M: preimplantation genetic screening for chromosome number and testing for known single-gene conditions, through the in-house reproductive genetics group
- Reproductive surgery: laparoscopic myomectomy, tubal reversal, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures by physicians certified in both OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinology
- Male infertility evaluation: semen analysis and surgical sperm retrieval (MESA, TESA) with collaborating reproductive urologists
- Preconception genetic carrier screening for both partners
Fees & Packages
The clinic publishes no price list on its website. The figures below come from ProIVF’s own records collected in 2026, not from a current posted schedule — confirm numbers directly with the clinic’s financial coordinator before budgeting a cycle.
- IVF cycle (recorded 2026): about $14,240 with a fresh transfer, or about $16,291 when the plan includes a frozen embryo transfer; fertility medications are billed separately
- Money-back / refund programs: our Nashville sources document no specific money-back program, retrieval counts or refund percentages for this clinic, so we do not quote any; if a refund guarantee is offered, get the retrieval counts, refund percentages and eligibility rules in writing directly from the clinic
- Multi-cycle discount packages: prepay two or three IVF cycles at a bundled rate
- Insurance: the clinic works with plans including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross and UnitedHealthcare and holds an Aetna Institute of Excellence designation; a dedicated financial coordinator reviews coverage and self-pay options
- Financing: loans through CapexMD — online application, competitive rates, quick approval, no membership fee, annual fee or prepayment penalty
Patient Journey
- Consultation: new patients schedule through the main Nashville line; coordinators gather prior records and triage the case
- Diagnosis before treatment: the standard workup is bloodwork (hormone levels and ovarian reserve), transvaginal ultrasound, HSG for tubal patency, semen analysis, and preconception genetic carrier screening
- A plan built on four inputs: the clinic says its treatment recommendations weigh age, urgency to conceive, the specific diagnosis and financial circumstances — with the costs and success rate of each option explained before anything starts
- The cycle: stimulation with monitoring, trigger and retrieval, fertilization by IVF or ICSI in the Ovation lab, embryo culture, PGT if elected, then fresh transfer or vitrification
- Confirmation and follow-up: blood pregnancy testing after transfer, monitoring to fetal heartbeat, then handoff to an obstetrician
- Staying local between visits: monitoring and follow-up can be run from the Franklin, Murfreesboro or Clarksville office nearest home, and telehealth covers routine consults
Local Legal Framework
Surrogacy. Tennessee is one of the few states with surrogacy written into statute: Tennessee Code Annotated § 36-1-102 sets out how intended parents can be recognized as the legal parents of a child born through a surrogate, and compensated agreements are permitted. Enforceability turns on meeting the statute’s conditions, which is why Nashville clinics routinely have intended parents retain ART-experienced counsel before a gestational carrier cycle begins.
Egg and sperm donation. Donation is legal and active at this clinic. A written donor agreement in which the donor relinquishes parental rights is the standard instrument; Tennessee does not impose the restrictive statutory framework some states apply.
Genetic testing. PGT-A and PGT-M face no Tennessee-specific restriction — standard informed consent and CLIA laboratory rules govern.
LGBTQ+ family building. The clinic serves LGBTQIA+ patients openly. Tennessee state law, however, offers limited protection for LGBTQ+ parental rights, so donor-insemination, reciprocal and gestational-carrier paths here deserve legal advice on parentage before treatment, not after birth.
Embryos. Tennessee has not settled the legal status of embryos. What happens to unused embryos — storage, donation, research or discard — is controlled by the consent agreements patients sign at the clinic, so read them carefully.
