Local Legal Framework
Maryland provides a supportive legal framework for assisted reproduction:
- Surrogacy: Recognized in Maryland. Our Maryland sources name no statute number for surrogacy and set out no statutory conditions, so we do not supply one here — confirm the governing framework with reproductive-law counsel before a gestational carrier cycle
- Egg/Sperm Donation: Donation is clinically available at this center. Our Maryland sources name no statute number for donation or for reproductive-tissue disposition, so we do not supply one; donation proceeds on written consent documenting rights and obligations
- PGT Testing: PGT-A/PGT-M has no special legal restrictions in Maryland, requiring standard informed consent
- LGBTQ+ Rights: Maryland recognizes same-sex marriage; LGBTQ+ individuals can legally build families through assisted reproduction
- Embryo Legal Status: Maryland has not enacted legislation defining the legal status of embryos; patients determine embryo disposition through reproductive agreements
